Nice, I haven't listened to Kataklysm in a few albums, but that sample sounded exactly like the stuff I enjoyed the most from the band..... Yes, Tomb Mold is absolutely destructive. My physical copy just arrived in today!!..... I'm not super into Hoth, but they do good stuff.... Wasn't familiar with Zeal and Ardor, but that sounded really interesting, and I will definitely check that on out... Yes, the new Khemmis is pretty great. I really love the solo work on the album... Good stuff as always, thanks!
Yea, Kataklysm's more recent stuff has been hit or miss with me. Luckily, their newest release was pretty badass. I really dig Tomb Mold's first demo, The Bottomless Perdition as well. The've been pretty consistent with quality for the short amount of time they've been around. Zeal and Ardor definitely have some unique stuff going on. Their first album is like a direct split between really amazing bluesy black metal w/ piano and weird electronic stuff that I wasn't a fan of. they're worth a listen for sure. Khemmis, of course, released an amazing album, but I was kinda expecting that after the amazing Hunted album. I'm really stoked for all these July releases as well. New JUNGLE ROT and RUNEMAGICK!! WOOOO!
