The video is over a year old yet you still comment on it. No surprise considering Dr Umar was mainly responsible for 2 million views. However what I don't like is the lies Dr Umar is spewing. This video became viral for a lot of wrong reasons. What's even worse is how delusional Dr Umar supporters are. I am not against the idea of community but we can't talk about fixing communities without fixing families. Hey if you make a lot of money from this video, great for you. I wish you the best of luck with all future projects.
@@Vietmac1993😂😂😂😂 what families then they just say only one out of four women get married that are African American? So I guess we have to fix something besides the families... Small-minded people and their delusions of grandeur
Did the brother actually ask "are we racist for dating within our own race?" This goes to show that many people doesn't know what racism actually means
King here is what he meant, but he worded the question wrong. Some/most people have asked "Am I a racist if I prefer or choose to date within my race, but not outside my race"? Some people will say that it is racist and some people will say that it is not racist.
Individualism has plagued the black community so much that these men could even stop themselves from spewing out individualistic ideologies and I’m so glad dr umar called it out every single time they did it
Completely agree with this. It was as if it kept going over their heads. Think bigger, and dream bigger! Gender wars gets us no where, and fast. As long as we stay divided there is unlikely to be any progress for the black race, globally.
Glad you caught that too. Dr Umar is quick witted and able to pick up on that. Plus his message about community is actually better for traditional values than what the hosts talk about which is "me, myself and I."
Why is it so hard for Black people to see the damage that has been done? These young men fought him tooth and nail about things that are so obvious.🤦🏽♀️
Because Dr umar is a fraud. He promotes not dating out but he likes white women too. He's been collecting funding for a school he's never gonna build. He's a capper. He blames black men for the problems black women and Feminism created
What I like about Dr Umar is that when he's with women he holds them accountable for their part and when he's with men he holds them accountable too for their part. That's respectable

Man, it's crazy that Dr. Umar spent over an half an hour trying to drill in individualism vs. community, and they still couldn't get it. They just kept going back to themselves. How conceited can you be? As a man who may not check up all boxes of what he deeds being for our community, I totally agree with him. Black men need to stop worrying about what blame black women has and focus on what we can improve upon ourselves starting with our young men.
I understand the notion of community. But if everyone did their own individual part, then the community would fall in line. Our problem is that we focus too much on the community and not individual achievement.
@@ericwatkins4581 That's not true. Look at all the successful people that we know about that does right by them and their family but sell the rest of the community out. We have tons of black successful Republicans (not conversative leaning so we don't confuse the two) who work to sell lies about how American treats black systematically. We have black successful democrats who suckers us into fighting for everyone but ourselves. Look at Jay Z who lead us to vote for people like Hillary Clinton or got us to fall back against the NFL. And this is all while being paid by these groups. And this happens to us on all levels and on all sides. Black people scattered all over the place over what they "believe" which is why we have no political power. This is what happens when you focus on too much as an individual and none as an community. As a community, less people gets left behind and ends up being a pookie and rayray to be a poison to the community. As an individualism, you care less about them and leave them to be a detriment to our kids and grandkid's future which is part of the american system.
@ericwatkins4581 and what if people never do their part? Do you just wash your hands of the bc and walk away? He's saying people are just sitting around talking about this person and that person- that won't change ANYTHING. We need the leaders in the community to stand up and take action. When bw standup and and try to lead you say we are masculine. We need the rightful leaders to take their place at the forefront of the community.

Dr Umar broke it down several times and stated this is not about individualism but systematically.. and he continues to revert back to hisself and what he has experienced and doesnt want and yet again gaslighting black women. Never the bigger picture in what the Dr was trying to shove down his throat. Good job Dr Umar. We understood even if they didnt.
He eventually came around but that's how strong the programming is and that is just a glimpse of what we're up against. Which is why his school is so important -> Easier to build strong men than repair broken ones
I mostly look at dr. Umar Johnson as the Broken Clock. He's right about twice a day. There are plenty of things that I can say that I don't agree with but I definitely agree with him on the point that he was making about systemic issues that have destroyed black boys and black men are not taking accountability for them. On top of that, black men want to blame black women for ending up with black men who are not healed when black men have not taken an overall role in making sure that Pookie and Ray-Ray do not exist in the first place. I will not discount white supremacy because it played a huge role in the decimation of our communities, but I have a huge problem with any black man who wants to continually blame black women for the issues that we face as a community and they not take accountability. Like dr. Umar Johnson said, if two-thirds of women are raising children by themselves, how do you black man not see a larger problem? Why does it always have to end up with it's her choice? It's like if you sit down at a restaurant and they hand you a menu and the only thing they serve are hamburgers, the only thing you're going to eat is a hamburger. With that analogy, if the majority of black men that black women are presented with are not healed black men, how do you expect black women to be with a black man on a larger scale who is healed and whole and able to provide for family? I believe that black women need to do better but I damn sure will not allow white supremacist talking points from black men to continually black Gaslight black women in believing that every issue in her life is her fault. This is what the manosphere does all day long and it needs to stop.
What’s crazy is MOST Black interviewers do the same thing🤦🏽♂️It’s annoying AF and almost seems 🤔”Systematic” plus that’s that up north black dude mentality, it’s sickening
As a Young Black Male, conversations and videos like this are extremely important. The issues we have are never gonna be solved unless we all try to have a positive impact amongst each other.
It wasn't a problem in the 40s you blacks led the way in morality and righteousness in your marriages, neighborhoods, and your privately owned businesses that you traded for black leaders, projects and welfare
Trauma happened to all races all in the world. White people were slaves too. All races have started at the bottom and still managed to succeed. It’s about personal choices nothing systemic is holding anyone back
Umar is a genius because he is a psychologist. He knows that 10 people can do the same thing, and if you asked them why, you would get ten different reasons. That's just for simple tasks. Choosing who you love is the most complicated thing you can do as a human being. He's gaslighting black America for fame. If he could predict why people behave the way they do simply based on observation, He would be a billionaire with a noble peace prize. Love who you want. Life is short. Don't miss out on true love over race. Or do that's on you. Ignorance is bliss. 😢
I love this man!!! I’m in tears because I’ve NEVER had a man to this caliber in my personal space. He spoke everything in my mind and heart about us!!!
One thing that hits home and I believe in a 100 percent . We BLACK MEN MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR ACTIONS. Some of the conditions we see in our young male youth today probably wouldn't be to the extent that it is today if we took responsibility. So I totally agree with the discussion fully on that point.
Shout out to you for saying that. We as black men must take responsibility. This individualistic mindset has to stop. Remember, there’s a reason God made man the head of the house. It is our responsibility to lead and that comes with the good and bad. I learned that from my Dad. Shout out to you Pops…
💪🏿... I clearly heard Dr.Umar said that the CIA lady to in to infiltrate the black family with feminism (and it worked), then welfare, abortion, child support, liberation & independence etc.etc ... Those were "choices" that were made by "women", which the young man was attempting to relay his point, but was over talked. Men and Women need to apologize to each other. PERIOD.❤️
@@troydilworth8789 Beloved, it's crucial to understand the welfare system and child support within the larger context of the system that has been created. These systems you mentioned trace back to slavery, Jim Crow laws, and mass incarceration, all aimed at dismantling the power of black families and communities. To suggest that this is solely about individual choice overlooks the institutionalized nature of this system and how it has been ingrained in our Americanized culture. I understand where you're coming from, and I respect your perspective that individual choice does play a part. That being said, it's worth noting the contradiction in the arguments made by the person in question. They mention "pookie and ray ray" but lack the consciousness of attracting "BoQuisha and sha sha." It's important for both men and women to reflect on their own reasons for choosing these mates and address any underlying biases or beliefs that may be influencing their choices. As Umar was saying, we need to zoom out and focus on the bigger picture - the system that forces both men and women into certain choices. It's like the Adam and Eve story, where they turned against each other instead of addressing the real issue. This sneaky snake of a system destroys our sense of self and blocks our ability to truly see and understand each other. And let's not forget, it strips us of our power. So, while individual choices do matter, we can't overlook the destructive force of this system that have forced us into choices out of survival and out of response to our emotional, historical, and collective trauma. We have to dismantle these Jim Crow laws that turn us against each other and come together!

I don’t agree with a lot that Dr umar says but I do agree with what he was saying about why women are that way they are. I don’t agree all is systemic though. Many black men left a poorer woman with his kids and went to another who was able to take care of him. He cares nothing about the kids or gave her money for nothing. She had to go welfare to get food. The one guy with the braids hates black women. I do not see it in the cards that he will select one do we might as well give him his walking papers. A big part of Dr Umar’s solutions are service based. In order for people to take the actions he suggests, the willingness to serve and be apart of a community has to increase. Fire interview🔥
Yessss, I use to yell this all the time. The focus should be on our children not how many children a single mother has. The children will soon be the leaders of the future!
Umar simped for women because his main audience is women. Women choose who gets to be a father. They decide the caliber of man they lie with..and raise. They are the first nurturers and teachers. If you choose..and raise a man of low caliber..those will be the choices they have when it comes to men, later.
I think we should bring more attention to the trials and obstacles Dr.Umar had to overcome just to build an independent black school. He mentioned how he literally had to FIGHT for black workers to help him build his school and that just sheds light on a whole other problem that I didn’t even know existed. The revolution starts within our community we NEED each other.
So did anyone recognize how towards the end of the podcast, what appears to be the owner or main speaker of the show almost completely refused to even ACKNOWLEDGE any accountability regarding the black man flaws and how it played into systemic racism. He persisted on holding BLACK women accountable on our “poor decisions” in dating men.. when majority of the men in our community are what he describe as “pookie and ray ray” (and we know what type of men he was trying to get at here). Regardless, despite Dr. Umar trying to get him to look at the overall picture, he was set on “revealing” this negative portrayal of black women, to which he described “is masculine with multiple kids”.. so all black women are masculine with multiple children?? Why would you even portray us in that way, but when someone say something regarding the negative characteristics of black men.. they quick to say “NOT ALL MEN” or “NOT ME, I worked hard to get where I’m at.” So… you think most BW do not work hard to become something and beat stereotypes.. while .. you know.. on top of balancing being the MAN AND WOMEN in a fatherless household? & Black men wonder why so many of our women embody the masculine role.. like do you even recognize how your own actions contribute to why some of our mothers and grandmothers had to be the men in our life as well? Judging a women for having multiple children, yet not criticizing the men who are impregnating her .. the ones who are not supporting her.. the ones who rather be in the street.. rather than building their community. I’m glad Dr. Umar put y’all in check. Why are you concerned about black women taking accountability, when the conversation is more so centered on how black men can collectively began on recognizing and acknowledging their role in the prevalent disruption of the black family institution.
There’s something with him- maybe his mother chose bad or a girl he liked choose a bad guy. But he lacks self awareness and can’t step outside himself to think about the bigger picture. I hope one day he can.

@BrownSpiderAdventures It is the BM's fault, though. BM sold their people into slavery and were so stupid that they got caught up in the same system. What Dr. Umar did for the black community is heroic. The importance of creating a school without funding from the government is you can teach the curriculum you want. This is what we need.
What did he do?! WTF did he do besides collecting money for ages and never really building just one school........... We don't need him anymore. Enough con artists around.....
Never heard or seen these young men before this interview. Their responses to Umar’s correction and constructive criticism were low vibrational. They need to be educated & I am sure they aren't instilling much needed into their child/children minds. Hopefully they don't die while their children are minors or the mother for them to understand the other side of the fence.
Umar told them straight this is a MAN'S conversation. But they continued to keep trying to drag women into it wtf. It’s quite interesting that these men had an excuse for every mode of responsibility Umar put in their path. That highlights the core of the issue. If you can always point to someone or something else, collective responsibility and agency is eliminated and they can’t be held to task for anything. The addiction to being victims and helpless should be embarrassing to these men and those like them.
I agree with you, but to a degree. We shouldn’t be looking to make excuses, pointing fingers at others and playing the victim. That’s facts. However, you know how many of our people don’t know that many of the things we go through today are due to subtle psychological warfare, waged on our people many years ago? It’s indeed important to know these things in order to get to the root of the issues. Yet at the same time, I do agree that focusing on excuses vs analyzing solutions is the wrong approach.

@@rachealmiller6757 So I think the podcaster understood that his confusion came from not knowing how it was his or our responsibility to make sure that there are no pookies and Rayrays. Simply being present in the community doesn't always equate to having the impact on someone's life to be a better man. I think the presence of a good male role model definitely helps. That's like saying that white men being present in their communities can stop all the rapes, thefts, burglaries etc... that's a disingenuous argument that once again places unrealistic standards on the black man that no other men have. Have Japanese men been able to stop boys from growing up and being in the Triads gang? No. So yes for most men the best we can do is be present in our homes and hope the men and women that come from that home are good to great members of a larger society. Like he said not everyone is called to do that work.
Yes the topic of blaming men for women emotionally based decisions. Yall choose who you fuck and get pregnant by via superficial sentiments like he is 6ft and taller, or he has tattoos, or he has swag and other crap and yall reject somemen cuz he aint tall or he is skinny or he dont sound hood or some dumb shit.
Yes I think you can look at it both ways.. On one hand he's constantly bringing up white supremacy in the issues... But on the other hand they're on the basis of our problems when it comes to us as a family I know a lot of people don't like him, but the one thing they can't deny is that he has been consistent with his message from the very beginning In Black unity is something I fully support 🙏🏾😌✨
I felt this with my whole heart. My Sun’s father passed away when he was 3 but u can even comprehend home many boys I had to raise that were not mine. I had to do boy stuff with boys and I’m a woman. My Sun loved to invite all his friends to my little apartment on my little salary but God helped me through it and I’m called mom by many✊🏾🖤

That shit pisses me off so much especially when niggas really ride behind what they saying like it’s correct yelling it and shit and be deadass wrong
Yes, it's admirable. However, they need to also be fully open minded and ready to fully listen to what he is saying. It's perfectly fine to disagree, in the end, but how can you disagree on a point that he isn't making? I don't know these young men names, but I just watched one of them in particular consistently disagree with what he said but he misunderstood that Dr. Umar was speaking about collective action. The young man was simply defensive.
Yes, I'm feeling that to . Dr, Umar, are waking up alot of these black kings .We can't keep playing stupid games " getting stupid prizes!" . Wake up - FBA ?
Good debate with lots of valid points made by Dr. Umar; I'm just sorry he had this discussion with black males who couldn't fully comprehend the message. This is what's wrong with our race, we only process things on an individual level instead of a collective level. Then comes the blame shifting and scapegoating. It's sad. We'll never progress if we continue to think like this.
That's because unfortunately he should be building with builders not trying to convince those who aren't. It's HIS JOB, as in Umar, and those that feel like him to drop their egos, work together, and have something that people can find a productive role in.
@jamaaldaynitelong8367 I found it embarrassing for them. They were unable to or chose not to understand the very clear and valid point he was making and see where black men also fit into the equation. He explained it a number of times and provided practical ways they could apply it and still they resisted. If I'm watching a persons podcast, my hope is that I can trust their intellect and discernment. They're resistance to accountability and pushback is why I would not watch another episode outside of this one
I think as an african woman, that this gender and diaspora war is just distraction. We, as a community, as women and men, hurted each other for decades. Not willingly but because of the circumstances. We need to accept that we are both at faults, apology and decide to take clear actions to make things right because at the end of the day, we are our only allies. (English is not my first language so sorry for the errors)
Umar is right we all have failed as a community but bruh kept making it about him. The problem with the gender wars is both sides lack empathy and would rather blame each other then find a solution. Both sides have faults but neither address them.

When they were talking about the reason why women make poor choices when choosing men, it irritated my soul that they couldn’t understand what Dr. Umar was saying. As many times as he sat there and explained it, it just KEPT going over their heads. He explained it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, and they still were not understanding what he was saying. He explained it in the most simplest way. He explained it multiple times, and they still didn’t get it. I don’t know if they were refusing to accept it or they truly didn’t understand. I wished they would’ve just moved on and stopped talking because it was very embarrassing FOR THEM, to see them not be able to grasp the concept of what he was saying. Smh.
Hence the saying, "It's like talking to a wall." Effective communication consists of being able to decipher "Am I listening to interpret? Or am I listening to respond?"....Unfortunately, these young men are the latter. Some people ONLY hear what they WANT to hear. Their 🧠 refuses to interpret what is being said.🤷🏾♀️
This was painful to watch because of the fact that the guy directly across from Umar wanted to ask questions but not listen to the response for understanding it to argue his case. He learned nothing..
I agree with Dr. Umar, Black men who call themselves "high value" really need to be the ones on the front lines against these street dudes and teaching these little boys what to do. If you are not willing to pass on what you have learned to the next generation then you are not a leader or a high value person. These new dudes forget that the man is the leader.

Yes!!!!!! How can we rebuild the trust
What community is Umar part of? He doesn’t work with anybody. All he does is bloviate and pontificate.

We need to accept that we are both at faults, apology and decide to take clear actions to make things right because at the end of the day, we are our only allies. (English is not my first language so sorry for the errors)
Yes, you're right.
Exactly. And ppl will watch this and will still continue to blame one another
Spiritual warfare
Not true. Black men haven't had the power to hurt black women for decades. Black women are now a buffer class of people.
@@belleame73 no, just brainwashed. I have no idea why it is so easy to brainwash black men.
POWERFUL!👊🏿
Umar is right we all have failed as a community but bruh kept making it about him. The problem with the gender wars is both sides lack empathy and would rather blame each other then find a solution. Both sides have faults but neither address them.
Facts that's where he lost me we can't build if we fighting against each other
All facts💯💯💯💯
We all have failed but he mostly blames the men
💯
@@Achilles645 we’re meant to lead he’s saying leaders don’t sit and cry about stuff they look for and implement stuff instead of looking to absolve themes from blame
The sad thing is that they’re very individualistic as Dr.Umar said like they cannot think outside of themselves to a bigger picture.
Is it really too much for them to ask not to be punished for things they didn’t do? You call this individualism I call it humanism
@@retrosaturn202That’s not gonna save the community. Are you trying to live your life and be selfish or down for the liberation of black people?
Smh.
They're abit slow
you typing this went over my head over & over & over again.
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 I was like how are they not understanding?? 😂 imagine trying to be with these men in a relationship. Headache.
Hence the saying, "It's like talking to a wall." Effective communication consists of being able to decipher "Am I listening to interpret? Or am I listening to respond?"....Unfortunately, these young men are the latter.
Some people ONLY hear what they WANT to hear. Their 🧠 refuses to interpret what is being said.🤷🏾♀️
@@ajones1266 indeed. Lack of comprehension skills. Its odd that they chose to host a podcast as a career with minimal listening skills.
We see them fussing with woman to change and not leading the change. They waiting for woman to change first.
100% I think those men are scared to step to the pookies to be honest. So it’s easier to berate women and throw us under the bus.
So I’m supposed to work my ass off to become high value now risk my life trying to save ignorant niggas?? U sound crazy as hell
@@RashonWillor u can be accountable for the actions u take like every himan being in the world. Stop blaming the ppl who did what they suppose to do for the actions of others then cry victim
@@chris.t.389 Prime example, stepping to women, but had no words to the MAN who made the initial comment and I don’t have any kids, MY choices are not being pushed to anyone else to solve.
I’ve done things “right” and so did my parent, I’m not a bastard child, but some things are bigger than ourselves.
@@RashonWillI’m not scared of Pookies, the pookies are the real cowards in my opinion. The pseudo masculinity they exude is all a front to attract low-vibrational women who think that’s sexy. In fact most of BS that they do is to impress some woman because women in the Black community find that foolishness to be “attractive” and “exciting”.
However, it’s not my responsibility to raise the offspring of Pookies and their baby mamas. Men like myself will no longer incentivize dysfunction in the Black community.
man... Dr Uman is a library, an encyclopedia, an university. bow to you, brother.
Greetings & much appreciation, are you in our network with Dr. Umar?
You've left out "scam artist"
Lol he said bow idolatry
The best debate I have seen from Dr Umar yet. He ate them up with facts left no crumbs.
Wasn't a real debate tbh. More like a professor speaking to foolish students who push back on lessons
He did not all he did was pander
@@chris.t.389 I guess taking accountability as men is pandering nowadays.
@@Spectonimous no but i dnt have to be accountable for other ppl actions. If u had a kid out of wedlock thats between the ppl involved how bout the actual ppl who made bad decison be acouuntable and stop blaming the person making the right decision so yes he was pandering. How about he marry the woman he got a kid with better yet give back all the money he stole frm the imaginary school. Now thats being accountable. But since u so big about hold innocent ppl accountable how about pay off other ppl credit card bills who made bad financial decisions oh but u wont do that
@@Spectonimous ppl like u who blame others for their individual choices is why the "community" is the way it is. I am not accountabke for a woman who chose to lay with the wrong man b4 marriage. Nah- couldn’t be
to the black women out there, I apologize to you for my previous bad behavior and I apologize to the present behavior you guys are enduring from black men
Blah blah blah. Black men suck!! Biggest waste of space. They do nothing positive for community. Wanna sit around and blame black women for their issues. I have zero respect!!!

These brothas were way out of their league trying to debate w/ Dr. Umar. He schooled the hell out of them as he always does. Love this guy.
U gotta give the brothas props for even getting him on the show. Always something negative to say.
Facts!!
He lied about why blk women are the way they are today, it was lie. He just knows how to out talk some, uea I agree the other men were out their league. But be clear, he was wrong about blk men allowing blk women to be what they are. He never wanted Kevin Samuels tho
Close male relative who is a black man has the same mentality as these black men he was schooling mixed with the mentality of the kneegrow and a 🦝 and i sent this video to him and told him to watch it. And he tried to criticize it without even watching it first claiming Dr.Umar preaches bs rhetoric. I told him to watch the video first before making judgements. Because how would he know what is going to be said if he hasn’t even watched the video first. Some of these blk men are so deep in the colonizing mentality that they refuse to let other blk people pull them out of that cave.
@@louisj4645So blk men leaving black women to be single black mothers to hold down everything is a lie? Tell that to all the blk kids who grew up without a father in sight and was raised by a single black mother.

If you need someone to validate your feelings, they are probably weak to begin with

@@akosuamvotyo1655no bittnerness here. Just a fact. If you need other people to validate your feelings about something then that thing you feel is not strong at all. Using data to validate your feelings is different than using the words of a race hustler like Dr. Umar. This man raised $5 million in donations to re-open a school in Virginia and then conveniently never opened it. He stole $5 million from his own people that donated. He is using the black community to further his pocket just like 99% of black activists. So to use his rhetoric to "justify your feelings" means that your feelings are weak and would crumble on their own. Just the truth.
These men arent ready to have this conversation. As a man, I understand. You have to teach young black boys how to be men and hold themselves accountable.

I met this giant in Kingston, Jamaica. This man's energy is enormous! He obviously walks in the presence of our ancestors.
Umar is schooling that heartbroken man. Individualism vs community solutions is a big gap in our communication.
