While we may not agree on everything, I'm glad we can still have a civil back and forth about it. You did make some good points. And as we discussed, you know my show is taking on a new focus from the collecting perspective. Something I wanted to do from the beginning and something I think everyone can enjoy and find value in. I hope everyone will give it a chance. Although I know I can't please everyone, I can still tweak things in the interest of trying to.
The diehard fans that are invested in you will stick around with the change for sure. Might bleed some subbies but at least you get to enjoy the process of creating content better.

The year I was Born (2003) game prices where actually good, ppl didn't have to pay fucking $130 for thousand year door. (Which was $60 when it came out in 2004) I have such a massive problem with resellers I hate them so much. My favorite game of all time is Earthbound and it sucks I'll never own it because the prices are absolutely horrendous.
It was $50 when it came out lol so even better. But $50 back then feels like $70 now

@steviefreakinc am a fan for some reason, they don't rub or promote reselling very hard, granted riff edits for some of the biggest. You think they will speak on or defend the completionist? I bet they wish they wouldn't have invited him on the pod now, lol
On your mention in a recent video, and when it was on sale, I bought the OBSBOT camera. Haven't tried it yet, but I think from the new year, I'll be using it, and rebranding as Heckling Steve, as that chap already has a reputation. 😁
I'm liking this camera so far. I'll use it for a couple of months before I decide to buy an expensive one.
@@steviefreakinc Ta. When I set it up (just want to rejig the man cave a bit, first), I'll just need something that does the job. There was one that does 4K, but 1080p is fine. No-one needs to see me in 4K :D
If the big three ever start selling roms of their back-catalogs then these resellers are gonna go out of business overnight. I buy legal roms from the old PS3 store. I buy games that are outrageously overpriced by these scumbag resellers for a reasonable price and dump the roms with hen to play them on my steam deck. I bet these resellers are just waiting for Sony to shutdown the PS3 store so that avenue will be closed to gamers looking to buy old games at a reasonable price. It sucks that Sony delisted Silent Hill Shattered Memories because my only option is buy a copy from a reseller who will practically ram the UMD up my ass. But what can I do? I can't buy the game digitally so I either go without the game or bend over and get fisted by reseller. Somethings gotta change. I thought everything going digital would be a win for the community as a whole but that would just make the price of retro games skyrocket.
You know what I would love to have? A modern PS2 with 1080p support natively. Like an official one, not through adapters. That would be great. Wouldn’t cost them much to make a PS2classic that also reads discs. Disc drives are so cheap nowadays. Lol

Yeah man and honestly you'd probably take that back because you'd rather have the shoes than the shirt. Or if you mean you open it and there's the shoes and the shirt, it's the right thing to take the shirt back because you didn't pay for it. Most people don't but that is what you should do.

I just clicked on this video so i haven't watched it, but CM is a very close friend of mine. We hang out alot. Hes a marine and a police officer. Not that that means anything to anyone here...but emcemurr i can't fuckin stand. CM is not a scumbag reseller, never has been. He is a true gamer and dude is hilarious. It's pusherman mentality, and it's really hard to beat it. You can choose to be a part of the problem or a part of the solution though, and having principles will cost you. Maybe the trend will die down, or maybe the market will crater since you can't eat retro games lol.

He asked where do ppl get their games. well i get mine from the retro stores here but they all dont just sell video games. And ive been supporting these stores for 20 years. Ill always go to one these stores first before id order online. Plus i never know what ima find plus gets me outa the house. Also found me some cool xmas tree nes and sega ornaments at one this weekend plus lota gifts for ppl. Now my Charlie Brown Christmas tree looks video game themed its cool 😎

If one reseller chamges One thing about how they do business then you're channel is a success not every reseller is bad but there's so many on UA-cam it makes them all look horrible

When you strike gold, maybe your closest friends you would tell where and how, but everyone? I mean not just you, but before you people were exposing how and how much was. Which was the mistake and what I disagree with. I ain’t rich, I barely have 10-100 in my pocket to go yard sailing. Back before chase after the right price had a thought of having a barn, we spoke and he told me he carried 1000 with him at all times.
I don’t have daddy and mommy money or was born with my parents even having 1000 in the bank account at the time I was born. I grew up poor and on the streets and had to figure out my systems and games. I was doing this when I was 13, and I have backup for that. Anybody who knows me, knew this… I started making videos because of everyone else.
I do not want to go to a convention and listen to retro rock/wright way/resell/or even YOU talk. Why? You guys have nothing to do with the gaming community…I would rather hear David Jaffe talk or a gaming developer. I don’t want to hear how to better my life/better my collection. I want to hear how fun it was to make god of war or etc.
I started making vids because of everyone else, can’t beat them join them. Might as well make it hard for everyone, Fk it. I still like everyone but disagree with most. I’m not for retro at all, not because I can’t find it but mostly what is it going to do for me. Nostalgia, is what I feel when I play the remastered on ps4/switch online etc. The newer stuff is what I collect.
A lot of the newer stuff is pretty cheap too. I’m right there with ya man. I love collecting both. Your videos are good, just gotta stay on the grind and get your tags down and the viewers will come.
I also grew up less fortunate and had to make the best of what I had. Any game I was able to get I would play it for as long as I could even if it was bad because I knew I wouldn’t be able to get another new game for a while. Thats when going to a friend’s house came in handy

I dislike resellers because they make items harder to find for a deal or harder to buy at retail, cause you to have to pay the marked up prices
To a resellers credit, if say you pay asking price on a game knowing it's worth far more then yeah that's fair.
But a reseller will say find earthbound for 1 dollar and still over .25 cents saying it's not worth much to the seller.
lol yeah. I like the little circle of resellers I buy from. I know they wouldn’t take Earthbound for a buck. They’d at least pay $50 lol

@ManulTransmission well public school economics is the same as all economics. Also there's a difference better actual supply and demand and artificial supply and demand. With resellers there's plenty of supply to meet the demand but they hike up prices causing artificial inflation on said items.

I've commented on one of your videos earlier, and I just wanted to leave another say, I am like you. I find the reselling community toxic and scummy, especially the ones who do it in scummy ways.
Doesn't mean the person themselves are bad people. The practices they use are bad. Like Phoenix Resale buying up all the lower priced 3DS games at Wal-Mart to turn them around and sell them higher priced on his store...some people can only afford to purchase those lower priced games...and resellers like him take that opportunity way from them ( I grew up in a single parent household and could only afford those lower priced games)…I am glad you call them out. You sir have earned a new subscribble.
