    It is all about the transfer of wealth & capital from the “little people” to the “ruling-protected-connected” class. Taxes, debt, rents, big govt, inflation, war & drugs - been going on for centuries.

    I think of all the morphine used in the U.S. civil war and the ornamented syringes in Sears Catalogues around 1900 being sold to women stranded in the stark patriarchal settler world, used for easing mostly their emotional pain.
