So the user need to manually select the value,.It is difficult if the huge data is present. if we right clicjk and see on multi box we dont have the options like create static box, quick chart, time chart. Due to these drawbacks the so many users were suggested to modify the object. as a result qliktech introduced new object called container. In already existed projects multi box were used so that is reason not removed the multi box.
Hai Abhishek I did not see you full comment previously. As I have seen in the books that the drawback of the multi box is that it dont have search option but after reading your comment I come to know that we can able to search the values after opening the filter. Thank you.

About your query related to enable the search, it works little different in multibox becuase you need to first open the list of values from any of the filter and then just start typing the values. And it will going to the search the relevant value for you. Hope this helps. -Abhishek
