I've been searching high and low for this arrangement. We did this in a choir years ago. I just love it. Fantastic job!

@Willlarkbe It starts with sorrow, pain and confusion. It move into a community-wide expression of Joy and Assurance, and you get the sense that the singer know in their hearts that they already have the Mercy they are pleading for. Then, at 3:30, with a burst of orchestration (listen to sopranos) they offer this same love, peace and assurance to the whole world. This is the song that Christians sang to the spectators at the Coliseum as the lions tore into them. It can take down whole empires.

In movement 3, the prayer is for the mercy of God to fall down on our enemies. Later they pray that any hatred by removed from their hearts. And now this! Such joy and hope even in the depths of suffering. The minor, sharp and incomplete chord expand into a fullness of Joy and a deep assurance that God is in control of even their worst situation. Triumphantly asking for Mercy? Well, of course. It is Jesus after all we are talking about.

This is a beautiful piece of art. We are singing the same song this year, and I can't wait to see my mom cry at the beauty of this piece. The one concern I have about this particular performance is the brief pauses between kyrie and eleison, and christe and eleison. To my knowledge, René Clausen did not write the peace that way. Other than that, this was beautiful. Thank you to whoever posted this.

Beautiful! Then blend is amazing and your pronounciation is the best I have found online! My only critic is that I'm not a huge fan of the staccato at the beginning, but I can easily over look that considering how amazing the rest of this was. Great work!
