I am french and I like watching these videos. It is quite fun to watch celebrities speaking french fluently. Joseph Gordon levitt is really confident and smiling. It makes me realise how tricky french language can be. Furthermore it is a good way for improving my english. Ce dont tu parles concernant cet Américain quand il n’a pas compris son interlocuteur francophone natif est telemarketing nt important. Je pense que mon égo m’empêcherais de dire, «plus lentement, s’il te plaît ». Ce point est primordial à se rappeler car avec autant d’anxiété, on commence à oublier les choses les plus évidentes à dire. Être acteur/comédien doit l’aider à se comporter plus naturellement qu’une personne telle que moi. Ces situations stressantes me fait oublier m’exprimer correctement comme il faut. Just that it is not the easiest word to pronounce, so yeah, the fact that he pronounces it this right is impressive..... My 2-cents: while your correction around "il a insiste..." is correct, it is actually making the sentence quite complicated/high level at the end. That is because you corrected and tried to stay very close to the grammar approach taken by Joseph Gordon-Levitt - on purpose I suppose. What I think provides the same with an easier approach (and actually probably also a more natural one) would be to avoid the complicated past tenses and use the infinitive: "Il a insiste pour etre le premier a m'enseigner a marcher sur un fil" (sorry, no accent on my keyboard)
i think in the "if he didnt like the film, he wouldnt have called me" is a mixture of 2 and 3 conditional, if he didnt like the film (generally), he wouldnt have called me (then). For me, its correct use.

It’s very easy to understand compared to other French series. It seems to me that sound quality is much more adapted to dialogue than is usual. I would recommend it for B2+.

I will not label my French as B2 , but I understood at least 90% of the serie. I would recommend it for anyone who learns French. Easy to understand, I learned couple of new words on the fly. Bonne chance à tous :)

Dans le cinéma, les arts, la chanson etc la plupart des gens qui évoluent dans ce milieu se tutoient sans se connaître personnellement. C’est parce que ça fait « cool, sympa » et que le « vous » met de la distance. Après on dirait qu’ils se connaissent quand même un peu (j’imagine qu’à Hollywood tout le monde se connait).

"knowing" and "being able to say in real time" are the not the same, even if we wish they were. But I don't need to tell you that! For delf and dalf, I did the B2 just to give me an idea of where was in the learning process. Others do it for visa reasons, and others to get into university.

Hello. There's a thing that has always been mysterious to me : why is it so difficult for most people to speak a foreign language without an accent ? Your French is obviously very good but you also have a very obvious English accent. Why is that ? It has always been very easy for me to pick up the "right" pronunciation. I don't even have to make an effort, it just happens. The downside is that I also pick up local accents if I stay in a place for more than a week, even if I don't want to. So why is it so hard for others ? Why don't you just say what you hear ? What is it I don't get ?
It mostly has to do with a range of sounds in a person's original language. So the more sounds they recognize the more of them they can reproduce. :p Also we're not as good judges of our own accents as others, since we're not really hearing what we sound like as outside listeners. Try listening to a record of yourself, you might be surprised :)
@@dianajaninyan5453 I don't judge my accent by my opinion of it but by people's questions like "sei italiano" or "where in England are you from" which I get quite often. I'm not particularly proud of that, more surprised.
I've been reliably informed that the French find a mild English accent when speaking French ( like Alex's) very appealing; so I don't expect him to be too worried about that Patrick. Strong accents I agree could maybe do with some work on them Alex sounds perfectly charming and lovely.

Cela dépend de quel accent français (quelle région de France, Québec, Afrique...). Certains accents prononcent le 'R' plus près de l'avant de la bouche, et c'est plus facile pour moi. Pour moi, il n'importe que le 'R' soit au début de mot ou intervocalique - c'est un peu difficile. A la fin - pas de problème. Mais l'anglais est ma langue maternelle, et le 'R' me fait des problèmes même en anglais! (Juste un petit peu comme Elmer Fudd! Haha!) D'ailleurs, je dois dire que l'accent le plus facile à comprendre pour moi est le sénégalais - je ne sais pas pourquoi.

Cela dépend de quel accent français (quelle région de France, Québec, Afrique...). Certains accents prononcent le 'R' plus près de l'avant de la bouche, et c'est plus facile pour moi. Pour moi, il n'importe que le 'R' soit au début de mot ou intervocalique - c'est un peu difficile. A la fin - pas de problème. Mais l'anglais est ma langue maternelle, et le 'R' me fait des problèmes même en anglais! (Juste un petit peu comme Elmer Fudd! Haha!) D'ailleurs, je dois dire que l'accent le plus facile à comprendre pour moi est le sénégalais - je ne sais pas pourquoi.

J'habite dans l'Est de la France et par exemple, les parisiens se moquent de mon accent de "paysan ", c'est assez vexant. Je voulais te dire félicitations car ton français est excellent ! J'admire énormément les personnes qui apprennent le français, car je sais que c'est une langue très difficile à apprendre. Au plaisir ! Bonne soirée ! 😉
