I bought my loyal maytag fridge in year 2005,still going like the day I bought it.amazing never been repaired.only thing I did was get new door seals.almost 20 years old, will definitely be getting another whirlpool if it ever died.
@@AmreSupplyits a top mount may tag in the pak/10 model series.it has a big spiral coil,a fan system when most fridges just have a compressor only system.this is a condenser fridge.
@@paulzullo498 Thanks for sharing. It seems like it was a model that was built right when top freezers moved from an passive condenser coil to an active one with a fan. Top freezer models are more simple than side by sides and don't often have the extra components like control boards. Less parts = less points of failure.
3:263:26 I'm looking at a true brand 2 door restaurant vegetable cooler and the big motor stays running but the fan spins for couple of mins and then stops, is basically the fan motor?
Generally if there is a call for cooling the compressor will run and the condenser fan will run as well. If the condenser fan stops running while the condenser is still running then it's a good sign that the fan is starting to fail.
Thanks for watching. If the compressor is not starting then it could be an issue with one of the start components: ua-cam.com/video/NND8J8dXqJ0/v-deo.html Or there is no power sent to the compressor so a faulty control board or cold control thermostat.
@@AmreSupply Thank you! The first thing I checked was the start components and replaced them with known good ones to be sure. I'll continue to check the thermostat since the control board doesn't seem easy to bench test.
If your model has a control board then it won't have a cold control thermostat. Instead the thermistor (temperature sensor) will detect the temperature, and the control board will send power to the compressor and condenser fan. Glad to hear that your model lasted so long! What kind of model was it? Side by side? Bottom freezer? Top freezer?

@AmreSupply can't send pics on you tube otherwise would send pic,and original receipt.

Is the fan supposed to come on the minute the compressor kicks on?
Thanks for watching. It does in most models but in some there might be a slight delay as the compressor and the condenser get up to temperature.
Is it possible that a bad condenser fan would keep a compressor from starting?
