Thanks for another breathtaking video - absolutely fantastic drone shots🤩 And this video even features one of my absolute favourites, good old Povl Anker. Built in my home city of Aalborg at the yard where my dad used to work. It is good to see PA in such a good shape - they did a thorough job during the renovation in 2020, and even the classic furniture seems to be in good condition. I had the pleasure of travelling with her sister (Eckerö) in August, and she is also being well taken care of. During the construction of Eckerö/Jens Kofoed in Aalborg, her first captain, Mogens Rasmussen, was our neighbour and he supervised the building phase. He was such a nice person. Well, that was maybe a bit off-topic🙂, but thanks again for the video and catching the atmosphere in such a professional way.
Apparantly the hull was retrofitted at some point with extensions for extra stability to meet current regulations regarding ro-ro ferries. The B&W Alpha's can be noticed everywhere on the ship btw. 🙂
Vielen Dank für dieses Video, dass hat mir heute den Tag gerettet. Ich bin im Juli 2022 noch mal mit der Povl Anker gefahren. Als Mols-Linien A/S die Routen von Sassnitz nach Rønne übernommen hatte, sollte die Povl Anker verkauft werden, da sie jedoch der letzte Eisbrecher ist, durfte oder müsste sie übernommen werden und fährt noch heute. Auch das Schwesterschiff fährt noch. Ich liebe die Povl Anker und würde gerne mal eine grosse Führung auf dem Schiff erleben. LG
