    I would definitely snatch one of these TE-200 ESP LTD Telecasters if I needed a guitar for a Slipknot or Stone Sour tribute band. It is not exactly the same as the Jim Root Tele but it is close enough and can shred! It needs a couple of upgrades to reach its full potential. I would swap out the tuners and the pickups.

    Not really fan of Slipknot myself, but that damn white tele with an EMG pickup is like a dream to me.

      Yeh the Fender is good but I will definitely buy a white TE-1000 over it, after checking the 200.

      I totally agree. I will buy the guitar and the EMG 81 and 85 pickups. It will be incredible!

    I've bought a used te200 for a very good price and replaced the bridge pickup with a seymour duncan SH6B and now it's great for chugga chugga

    Ive been looking for a white tele for a while and im shocked at how little choices there are. I dont want to get a fender because of the dot inlays and the awful neck joint, and the closest thing to what i want is the LTD. Im just debating whether its worth spending 1000eur extra for the TE-1000 model, especially since i would replace the active pickups immediately. Asked many people, and i keep getting different answers: some say its better to get TE-200 and upgrade, some say just to get the 1000 model, so i never get a clear answer. If you would upgrade all the parts, would the difference really be THAT big?

      Its always better to get the 1000 series if you have the money for it. Regardless if you are going to replace the pickups. You can easily sell the original pickups. You can always upgrade the hardware but you can never upgrade the wood. Go for the 1000 if money is not a huge issue. It is well worth it.

      @@GeorgeVGuitars thank you for the reply. Since you actually have a chance to check out the guitars first hand, i trust your opinion much more than what most people say 😄i'll wait a few months for the yearly new gear announcements, and if there's nothing else to consider, i'll definitely grab the TE-1000, thanks a lot!

      @@temorinkaari You are a smart man. I think next NAMM is gonna have some cool stuff. Maybe not so much in the Tele department, but still.

    hey George, how would you compare this to the Charvel Joe Duplantier?

      Similar, yet very different. I prefer this one, because of the gloss finish and pickguard.

    These are like $500 new. Seems like after new pickups, new nut, new tuners and a setup you are closer to $1000, May as well just spend the money on something that already has the upgrades. It looks awesome though.

    Friend, you play very well... It seems that that guitar is oriented towards metal... Question: Do you think that with the right pedals it is possible to sound more hard rock (AC DC, ZZ Top)? Or is it too sharp and only gives metal?

    • @GeorgeVGuitars
      @GeorgeVGuitars  11 місяців тому +1

      Thank you. Absolutely, you can play even lighter music than rock on it.

      My English is not good, but I'm trying to ask if with the standard pickups it comes with, you can sound less metal and more like hard rock... AC DC or ZZ Top type... I know the pickups are good and that, But can that be done, or are the pads too sharp?@@GeorgeVGuitars

    One thing a notice, well more than a couple actually, is that all the details you pointed out about the finish of the guitar, are not present in cheaper guitars i.e. Squire, Harley Benton. And another thing, the tone pot option is a TAP COIL not a SPLIT COIL.

    • @GeorgeVGuitars
      @GeorgeVGuitars  Рік тому

      Check the official specs: "Pull for SPLIT" ;)
