    With the m6100 levers, there is a gap between the clamp (of the lever brake) and the grip. The result is that the shifter lever are slightly further away from the fingers, which makes it more difficult to change gears...

    • @enriquezcustom
      @enriquezcustom  2 роки тому +2

      Yes. To be precise, the difficulty is with the pull trigger but I did not have any issues using push levers for shifting. I seldom use the pulling feature or shimano.

      The new i spec EV brakes all have this irritating problem. I mounted the shifters closer to the grips instead. But the downside is that you're left with 1-finger braking

    Hello, I was wondering if you still are using this same lever upgrade since you've installed it? I would like to know how much of a difference the lever change has done? How does it feel compared to the mt200 lever? Does it engage kinda the same? Does it have a softer feel or does it feel exactly like the mt200(stiffer)? Reason I'm asking is because I have some people tell me I wont like the feel of it compared to mt200 lever... please lmk, thanks!

      Hello, The same set of levers are still my ever reliable pair at the moment since installed. This is one of the best upgrades I made and the feel is far superior than the regular MT200 levers. Although the Calipers are still MT200, I will somehow forget due to the diffirence in performance just by changing the levers only. Also this was my first impression and proven. I'm not planning to change may brake sets for a while. More than enough for my needs. Stay safe always.

    Does your shifters reach? I bought these brakes and my shifter doesn't reach as the extra support in pulling lever pushes it to far away.

    Hi, this video is super helpful. I just took delivery of my new M6100 levers but my existing M420 levers use the same fittings. Does this mean I don't need to install a new olive etc? Thinking I can just pull out of the old and put into the new, then bleed?

    • @enriquezcustom
      @enriquezcustom  2 роки тому +1

      Hello po. I'm sure it is possible to just transfer your cables without changing the fittings. I've done it in other units. Only if: the existing fittings are not squeezed to bits or broken of sort. This is often seen in 1st time pulled out cables. After the transfer, you will just need to bleed the levers to fill them with oil. 😁 Then check if the fittings are leaking..
      Please note that the rubber ends are different, you might have to find some way to swap them somehow. You can use the one from the other lever. they are of the same fit I guess. Stay safe always.

    • @enriquezcustom
      @enriquezcustom  2 роки тому +1
