I love that they specified that they can tie the bow tie "on command" - implying the existence of people who tie bow ties accidentally

I did in fact take the "drinks acid, dies, final form is a skeleton" idea down for my dnd campaign, because that's fucking hilarious and actually could work for a lich or something
I always imagined Jafeth wearing a very stereotypical villain costume, with like spikes and a cape and stuff, but then he wears light up sketchers.
Hearing Meg say "kismesitude" was NOT the type of psychic damage I was expecting to take in this troper fails episode, but ultimately, I'm not complaining.

I want to make a fanfiction about this. Each episode has a main plot tying together a bunch of B-plots about this. The guests will show up every now and again to embody those tropes they have.
It makes me happy to see that there's a few people still lurking on this most recent video of theirs. I hope one of them reads this, because I really miss them.
I was really crushed when the writing of Helluva Boss went downhill. It was a show I was really fond of and I thought I was the only one who thought something had gone absolutely awry with their writing. I had been subscribed to We Are Not Alive (Then Diregentleman) for a while because I loved their writing advice videos as well as Troper Fails. When they put out a video on the decline of the writing of Helluva, it was super therapeutic to know that someone out there actually agreed with me - especially with the venom some people in that fandom spit at those who disagree with them.
I hope you guys return to content creation on here soon. Being able to hear from you guys every few weeks honestly kept me going during some of my hardest times in college and absolutely inspired me to keep writing my personal projects that I'd been working on. I hope there's gonna be a big leadup to some big extravaganza like the 8 hour Chuck Wendig video, but I know that'll probably not happen.
So, Gus, Charlie, Meg, Addison, Charlie, Al, or whoever might be reading this, I look forward to your return. Even though you Are Not Alive, I really wish the channel comes back to life soon.

As for the first one, I did have one guy who I despised in elementary school, despite him being a completely friendly, normal person. I was a very social and sorta big-headed kid back in my 1st to 5th grade period (getting called by my parents as the "gifted kid" did not help me build a stable, well-kept ego), and there was another kid in my class a few grades ahead of my called Jordan. Jordan was a nice guy, athletic and pleased the teachers, so he had a lot of friends and favor from the school. However, he also got poor grades and struggled with things like math, while I was ahead of the class in it. Because my entire sense of self worth was built on being smart, seeing a much happier, more successful person in my class that was also not that smart made me fucking *livid*. I can't think of how many times I was straight up just a hater to him, especially when he didn't deserve it. I realized after I left that school that he was just a nice kid and I was being overly jealous of him, but I would say Jordan was my only "arch nemesis" in my life.
Sorry for the long comment, I just felt compelled to share my tale of being a hater.

As someone who has been experimenting with fashion lately, I feel called out by the awesome anachronic apparel. I'm working on learning to make my own clothes and have been looking at Edwardian/Victorian/Steampunk outfits as inspiration- both masculine and feminine. I guess that must be a common fashion source

Okay, but my tae kwan do instructor gave me a CMoA back when I was like 13.
Once a blue moon, he would bring wooden planks for his students to break. I was never particularly good at breaking a board with my punches, but I was excellent at breaking boards with my kicks and quite proud of that _snap_ of a board getting kicked in half that I could produce.
One day, he brought up a board for me to break... and my foot was just bouncing off. He let me try it like 5 times before he moved onto a senior student.
I was beginning to spiral hard about it, but that immediately stopped when the senior student also couldn't break it.
Eventually, the instructor stops the class and has me hold the board. He punches it twice more, and I feel it rattle hard in my hand, but it doesn't even crack.
So, he grabs the board out of my hand, extends the board out as far as his arms can reach, rears his head back, and brings it all back together to *HEADBUTT THE BOARD*.
And that finally does it. The board doesn't break in half, it splinters into multiple chunks.
My instructor's day job was (and still is) a nature biologist, so he immediately deduced that the wood had gotten wet at some point between chopped tree and buying it, causing the fibers to swell, and making his entire class look like wusses. 😂
I am so stupid I get mad when people say I'm smart or it's spite over my Gifted child syndrome I had but the former is funny while the more likely latter is sad so

The last 24 hours have consisted of perhaps the worst panic attacks in an age. Agony. Truely. I am exhausted, in agony, and the preasure in my head is so intense it makes it visibly hard to focus.

Also for added cool dude points, grow out your hear and do something stupid to it, like picking it out, but then not styling it at all so its just a massive wavy pile of hair flying about in the wind when you walk.
