Como am Comer See

Como is a northern Italian city located at the southern end of Lake Como. It is known for its Gothic Como Cathedral, the panoramic views from the funicular and the lakeside promenade. The Museo Didattico della Seta traces the history of Como's silk industry. The Tempio Voltiano is a museum dedicated to the memory of the Italian physicist Alessandro Volta. Just a little further north are the gardens of the palatial Villa Olmo on Lake Como and other impressive villas.Como ist eine am südlichen Ende des Comer Sees gelegene norditalienische Stadt. Sie ist für den gotischen Comer Dom, den Panoramablick von der Standseilbahn und die Promenade am Seeufer bekannt. Im Museo Didattico della Seta wird die Geschichte der Comer Seidenindustrie nachgezeichnet. Das Tempio Voltiano ist ein dem Andenken des italienischen Physikers Alessandro Volta gewidmetes Museum. Nur etwas weiter nördlich davon befinden sich die am Comer See gelegene Gartenanlage der palastartigen Villa Olmo sowie weitere imposante Villen.
