►A new study has found that as many as 200-thousand seaside homes and businesses could be lost due to rising sea levels within 30 years. The research combines climate change with erosion and says ultimately some communities cannot be protected.

So we'll be starting a huge coastal defences building programme?
Strange how climate activists, never recommend taking action against the climate.
Just more central bank debt, replacing all the cars, power grids and boilers.
In a huge bout of human industrial activity......... hmmmm...

Are we supposed to be surprised that water erodes land? How do people think cliffs were created in the first place? Maybe if they'd more carefully invested their money, they wouldn't be in this situation. Expecting the government to give them a hand out because they made bad financial choices is absurd.

Absolutely agree. Especially as they admit here that they acknowledged the problem decades before they start this begging campaign. Government pandering to the 'Boomer' voting block is just one of the major reasons that the UK is in such a state now... but they don't care about that; as long as they maintain their privileged status until death, they couldn't care less what happens afterwards.

When I was at school in the UK we were tasked with an English Composition project - to write a "news article" commenting on the 200' rise in the sea level and what the new coastline of England looked like and how it had affected the population. Bear in mind that this was 55 years ago !! All these climate zealots are actually telling you is that "the weather changes" !! It used to be "Global Warming" until they realized that we'd already had 3 Ice Ages and were actually cooling down a little now.... so the narrative got switched to "Climate Change". For God's sake get your mental health looked at and then go and get a real job.

as soon as we start having highly evolved desalination processes we will start to disperse our vast salty expanse in ways we had never thought possible. and the sooner the better, dont you think !?

Desalination takes an incredible amount of energy... The sun does an incredible amount of desalination every day...
