Danelectro's Fifty Niner takes the classic and pops an 'F-Hole' in it along with a choice of three stunning finishes (this one's the Gold version) and some accurate reproduction lipstick pickups that have stayed true to the "...exact original magnets, wire and brass/zinc tube composition." So we've got an oldie with modern-day build tolerances and swish looks. I'm a fan, but I always have been. Great stuff, Dano!*

I "gifted myself" the Green version of the FIfty-Niner for my 59th birthday..... I really love the quality of build, tones and how light and effortless it is to play. Highly recommended!! Dan-O got himself a Dano..... lol!!!

That Dano gold top is a stunner, looks nice and lightweight too. Those lipsticks have a nice bite to the as well

Danos I've heard in the past clearly sounded best with both pickups selected. The fIrst thing I noticed on this one is how good the bridge pickup sound on it's own!!! Really great!!
Gorgeous Dano and sounds great. They pulled a rabbit out of their hat with this one. Doesn't sound like a traditional Dano at all. Win Win!
Jimmy Page did indeed use a Danelectro for 'Kashmir', and a few other songs as well. Nice looking guitar, those lipstick pickups sound great.

Official release date isn't until Jan 25th, hence the verbal reference to that date. Danelectro had a preview of this video and suggested it go live immediately, so I was surprised too! More info on availability soon.

Gold top guitars always look cool. Even they sound naff (and this one doesn't) there is something about gold that no other finishes possess. More gold guitars please. 😁🪙🪙🎸
If you had to choose one, this or the triple divine? For me, style of this one but versatility of the triple is better and you could add some series modifications to also reach that more iconic 59 middle pick up sound maybe?

I think it sounds and looks awesome, but I wonder about neck dive because Dano's are already light and this has an f hole?
