Joe Lynn Turner was much better. Especially on Rising Force.
Hm..well he´s great for sure,but he was a little bit too commercial for yngwie in my opinion, as yngwie said himself. Yngwie didn´t like the way he sang...eventhough Odessey was the most succesful album of yngwie...
Don´t get me wrong I´m a huge Turner fan..but since I read the YJM bio, I hear d a lot of bad stuff about him, that made him dislikable.
generally I think Yngwie always had great singers, Graham had it´s very own touch.
Ripper was the first singer that didn´t fit for yngwie If you ask me..
I´d happy enough if he´d hire one of his older singers, because at the moment yngwie uses his keyboard player, which looks highly strange

Mark Boals is solid an absolute beast. Yngwie and Mark a match made in heaven.
The best tenor of all times. He doesn't use scrap things like falsetto or head voice. Even his A5's are damn pure chest voice. The most powerful D5-A5 range I have ever hear.
This is an amazing show. Mark Boals and Yngwie sound great together.

Ha, I thought I saw the world's best drummer Tommy Aldridge up there -- he's freaking incredible.
I remember seeing this live in Sweden. I know Mark Boals but when I saw him come out in that hair piece and outfit I was flabber gasted. It took a good 10 mins before I fully understood it's him... He looks exactly like Thor from the cheesy B-movie "Rock n Roll Nightmare" from the 80s...! Great concert and AWESOME playing from Tommy Aldridge. Just the Aldridge/Malmsteen combo alone was worth the ticket.
Mark Boals é um doido que não tem medo do extremo. Raros são os vocalistas que cantam em notas tão altas, com potência, ao vivo e sempre no extremo. Esse cara tem minha admiração.

Holy shit the soloing on "In the Dead of Night" is sick! Yngwie doesn't play like that anymore. Also, he doesn't get great singers anymore. Mark Boals sounds like a record. I saw him with Yngwie on the Alchemy tour, and he was amazing then too.
His older pickups sound tons better.

I don't think this was '96. I think this was between facing the animal and Alchemy tour. '98 or '99. Tommy Aldridge was put in as an emergency because the drummer passed away. I saw this tour in Va at Jaxx.
Well lol nevermind Yngwie said the new album was Inspiration. I guess Aldrich has played with Yngwie before then.
