We're gonna miss you on the island Elias. Wish I could've fished with you before you left, but I know how important this is for you. Best of luck in North Carolina, from Jordan in Oyster Bay
Dude.. NC is the right move for you, no doubts, but don’t forget your roots. Keep that ‘exclusive’ link intact. Fishing and cooking is a sport and an art. Me, My kids... and my mom love relating and learning. Thank you for delivering both.
That’s amazing. I thought I was the only one to cook fish this way. Would be great to cook with MARIO. Elias stay blessed brother. Mario see you around brother.
I love Crappie fishing. I've caught many many really good ones over the years. Done my share of catch and release and my share of filleting and eating them. Thanks for this post.
Mario, I am moving in, I will sleep in the garage even if you have one! Off the charts great job to both of you I was so depressed and then found this vid. Amazing, I could smell it way down here in MO. More please guys, thanks....
I love to watch your cooking vids , I am an angler and a cook and l love fish. What gives me a chuckle is the amount of oil and herbs you coulda cooked a horse ! - - Keep em comming!
Those are GIGANTIC crappie. One of the best eating fish that swims. Those could eat the ones around here in Eastern PA. Can't wait for a Snow's Cut flounder video!
Hi Eli..been watching ur videos for years..thanks for the great content..my favorite has always been ur catch and cooks...especially the ones with Mario
really have enjoyed these catch and cooks with Mario, thanks so much, my mouth is watering, best looking cooked Crappie I've ever seen.... good luck with your move.
Congrats on the new house. Please try to still do these catch and cooks with Mario, your fishing plus his cooking makes for the best catch and cooks on youtube.
Guys one of the best de-scaling technique I've discovered is running a sank full of cool water and scaling the fish submerged, not only it eliminate scale from flying everywhere, it almost eliminate that fish gut scent as well
Going to miss your NY fishing videos. Especially the Jamaica Bay fluke, weakfish, and striper videos. But I am also looking forward to the new chapter in your fishing adventures while living and fishing in NC. Looking forward to seeing your new videos from there. Hope your move goes nice and smooth too. Best of Luck Elias!
As a New Yorker (A Rockawegian no less) u and Mario warm my heart. Small town big city baby!! Tight lines. PS I've been hitting the beaches lately, theyve been treating me right
Always awesome when Mario is in the vids . And like always another enjoyable vid never boring content . Have a good day and stay safe Jimmy from Massachusetts
That was great man, I love how much passion you have for fishing and how much passion your mate is for cooking, I really hope you do videos together again. Good luck with the move, much love from BC!
Thanks for sharing this video. Always great action. Live minnows catch big crappie. Going to miss these catch and cook with Mario. But can't wait to see what is going on in North Carolina. Happy fishing! Take care of yourself.
Crappie are always great tasting. Mario should continue with the catch and cook on UA-cam, I know I would watch. You can let him know that I save all of his catch and cooks with you. Don’t worry, there are some great lakes where you’re headed that have crappie. See ya soon Eli and I’ll be waiting for the arrival video.
Gonna let my nephew in on Mario’s restaurant. Next time I’m in Jersey we will be there. Used to eat at Villa Borghese on Bath Ave. Man this looks serious. Used to fish the Brooklyn shore line all of Raritan Bay , Boston on down to Hatteras . Life was fishing trip. Just great video guys, thanks, Tommy. Incidentally I had to throw this in. I once watched Michael LaMonico cook a shad and it’s roe on create tv. He had just returned from fly fishing for them on the Delaware river. I have been into this for 30 years and in 2009 I decided to go with a spey rod, that was the ticket. I have a great story to tell about it. Next time. Tight lines y’all.
msdibiase agreed. Elias has to get you a first class flight down there to cook up some more fish. Always look forward to the catch and cooks you do. I actually learned a lot of good tricks from this video.
Mario is a MasterChef that crappie look amazing I like to grill a lot of my fish to so the oiling when the fish is on the grill that's a big No-No nothing like good food great wine and great company with friends also again congrats on your move
Wow now that looks like chef city..i do the same thing with chicken stuff the whole chicken with herbs. taste so good and smells good too; great recipe, love how you guys did the oil on the grill without making it flame up great catch clean and cook excellent.
All of that prep work you do on that crappie we do for redfish baked in an oven with red Italian gravy. The crappie we cook Southern fried in a Cajun butane deep firer ( no heads). Ummm good. thanks for the video.
Crappie fishing looks like so much fun when you can get on em' .I've fished yellow perch, small-mouth bass, large-mouth bass, trout, bullhead, rock bass, etc...but 3 fish I've only ever caught one or 2, crappie and white perch, and silver bass. I live right next to lake Ontario and I've never caught a crappie out of it.
Oh thank you so much for cooking the panfish whole! I am so tired of seeing people try to filet anything under a foot long! You might as well just go buy it from the supermarket.
You never saw a magic scaler until you use the scaler by Bicco. It's unbelievable! That crappie would be completely scaled in 5 seconds flat and the scales pile up on the face of it, so they don't fly around. Have to see it used to appreciate it.
We always scaled crappie with the garden hose. direct the spray with your thumb and just wash the scales right off starting at the tail. Simple. Cut along both sides of the back and belly fins and they peel right out with the fin bones. Cut to the spine at the back of the head and pull the head down and off along with gills and guts. Maybe 5 mins a fish.
17th St Fish Market Miami. Bit of a sketch area but best cooked whole fish ever. Pick out your snapper mangrove snapper and tell them cook it. No tourist either. They wouldn't ever ever ever go there lol
Man is a heck of a cook and I would love to try his cooking.. also I would bring him fish anytime I would clean them for him to cook .. I just don't have the patience to do all this as amazing as it looks and sounds, I just can't do it all
Leaving to NC tonight. Have an epic striper video for Wednesday. Thanks again to Mario for these C&C vids.
EliasVFishing Thanks for the Links. It helps us! Have a safe trip later. You’re videos are the best! Bob from Long Beach.

We're gonna miss you on the island Elias. Wish I could've fished with you before you left, but I know how important this is for you. Best of luck in North Carolina, from Jordan in Oyster Bay
Huge respect for letting the big female go
As much as I like eating fish, I like catching fish more. That one was more important so I can catch more next year!
Anybody who would release a big female rather then eat it is a true sportsman. Unless it is going on the wall of course. Great vids Elia
Much respect bro 💯👍🏻
Yessir my thought exactly
@Tyrone Catkiller Kang Wish you wouldn't use the "N" word so loosely.
Great video AGAIN. Mario is a cooking machine. Looks great! Can't wait to see your NC videos. Good luck in your next chapter. Take care. Tight lines!
Hearing green bass for a largemouth or black bass to be technical is crazy, just shows everyone has their own language
Dude.. NC is the right move for you, no doubts, but don’t forget your roots. Keep that ‘exclusive’ link intact. Fishing and cooking is a sport and an art. Me, My kids... and my mom love relating and learning. Thank you for delivering both.

Mario seems cool af. He'd be like the godfather friend that can throw down on some good eats.
Sushi Bear the kind to chase you out of the restaurant for criticising his spaghetti 😂
That's a good cook that
Not sarcasm.
Lol. Ive never chased anyone out for not liking the food, only for being rude to staff or guests.. Taste is arbitrary, civility is absolute.
@@thetruth9952 Elias repays me with friendship and fishing. Im a lucky guy have a gentleman like elias as a friend.
Great video, Fantastic cooking and recipe. Yes thank you Mario! I would love to see Mario cook some whole sheepshead and on the half shell.

Great vid. Could almost taste that fish. Tell Mario he forgot the new broom and loaf of bread. Old Sicilian custom.
