It is so cool to see the bird outside without any leach, I wonder how they teach them?
It basically comes down to trust.
In my area, trees were cut down for new housing. The hawk population here jumped from near zero to every day fly-overs. Be so careful.

Yes, that can definitely be a concern in the open outdoors.
I'm surprised she's not totally frozen with fear over that open sky surrounding her! Really! Also it seems she could take off at any given moment especially if startled. And I keep waiting for a neighborhood cat to come maul her! Putting aside my worries, she sure is a cutie patio tie-pie!!! :-) Can u tell me what type of shrubs those are against the fence in background? Perhaps a couple varieties of climbing hydrangea, and a few other climbers and flowering shrubs...?? Thanks much :-)

Raises my heart rate instantly. We used to bring our caique outside with us until a hawk attacked one day. Thankfully it must have been sick or something because it dropped her halfway across the street.
That's harrowing! Both my bird and I were always scanning for predators, as you can see in the video. I had to worry about feral cats too. Sorry for your experience.

I hope the bird is still alive. Very dangerous to keep a flighted bird outside its cage like that. If it gets spooked it's going to fly away, possibly to never be seen again. Best to keep them in a flight aviary instead.
I would take Kookie for rides on my motorcycle. She would sit on my shoulder for the whole ride and not go anywhere.
