I could say a lot about how I'd do things different. But he has a running vehicle. And it looks like he got it registered as road safe. So kudos to dude for building it!
I was just talking the other day with a friend about how much safer roads would be if passenger vehicles were built like bikes and not like trucks!
I don't think it is road legal, looks like this is in France, and the licence plate on it is not compliant to the "new" system we have. I guess it's here for decoration.
Also registering a homemade car in France is almost impossible, so maybe he could have found some loophole registering it as a motorbike or something (which would also explain the fact there is no licence plate on the front.)
@@lucwal67 I was wondering about that! I have French relatives and they do love to complain about Gaulic red tape. I suppose there must be a class of lightweight vehicles similar to the Kei car class in Japan.
Finally! A hot rod that actually walks its talk!!!. There’s nothing anti establishment, individual, or cool about a chopped and channelled, 34 coupe with a 350, 700-4r and a 10 bolt diff, filling up with an oil company’s finest and putting gold into the pockets of the rich everyday it goes out.
The spirit of this build and video feels like an old soul of yesteryear. Like the first race to build a car .
I wonder what he could do if he built it to the specs for a cyclocart? It would need better brakes, but the savings on materials would make up the expense.

Four wheel drive vintage car
The suspension is in the flexible frame.. Just don't jump in it too hard - Or hit anything bigger than a small stone - It will break. I was waiting for some strengthening, at least in the corners... Do that and I like it.
the chassis is very flexible, which avoids having to have suspensions at the front, the rear is rigid

Something tells me the lack of suspension and good seats will become a literal pain in the rear after a while. Interesting build otherwise.
yes it is a leisure vehicle and for short trips, because it is not comfortable
IF you've got NO rear window - what's the point of having an inside rear view mirror ??. I'd have spent more time making some decent seats if you've also got no suspension.

This must be vintage decoration plate and the answer is no, French laws about what you can drive on open roads are very strict. This thing is legal on closed or private roads only.

c'est une plaque décorative, le véhicule n'est pas homologué, je l'ai construit dans le cadre d'un reportage pour tf1, je n'avais pas comme objectif de l'utiliser tous les jours, même si ce serait super
