Today, I'm super excited to share a new painting session with you all. In this video, I'll be working on a long canvas using some pastel acrylics that I recently bought. Amsterdam just released 12 new colors, and of course, I couldn't resist trying a few of them out. I'll also be using some of my favorite Golden colors. Let's dive in and get started!
Since it's spring, I felt inspired to work with very soft shades and happy colors. After wetting the canvas, I began with a light ultramarine blue from Golden and tested out a new brush. I really love how vibrant and happy this color is.
Next, I tried a yellowish-green that caught my eye, mixing it with other colors to see how it would look. This color is quite different from what I usually use, but I think it adds a unique touch. I moved on to another blue, which blended beautifully and created some lovely green tones. I really like this new palette!
I enjoyed the process of connecting different parts of the painting, making sure everything felt cohesive. It's such a long canvas, so I hope you can see all the details even on camera. I’m really happy with how the lines turned out, and I think they add a beautiful touch to the painting.
After it dried, I was able to see how the colors blended together and descided to paint the sides in a gradient. The yellowish-green really elevates the painting, and the different blues give it a fresh look. I’m quite pleased with how the white blends into the background, focusing the attention on the blue and the overall composition.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on it, so please let me know in the comments. As always, thank you for watching, and I’ll see you next week, Saturday!

@@RinskeDouna Really then, I'll try
I LOVE the sides. The best part is that it is more simple. It has the negative space that allows the composition to have the most impact. Absolutely one of my favorites in this series.
Thank you for my Saturday therapy session Rinske!! Lol the sounds of the brushstrokes, the colors, you, just everything is calming. I love those big paint brushes and watching the blues come to life. Big hugs ❤❤❤
Such a peaceful painting ….quietly stunning ….the sides are genius Rinske ! Another beauty!💕❤
Hello Rinske this painting is so elegant and gorgeous the negatives spaces brings up all this beautifull blues you are so talented thank you for sharing 👏 👏 👏 🤗
Your painting is so amazing and beautiful. I want to keep it.
I want to try it, but I'm so new to it. I'm happy just looking at it.
This is so beautiful!! blue is such a gorgeous calming colour and watching you paint is just mesmerizing.❤
I would love to see one with purples. Thanks for sharing
I wouldn't make it too full. Keep it simple! Love it..
I agree. The negative space needs something. Love your work. Your my favorite artist ❤
These are fun and very addictive! Love your style of blending. Rock on girl! I know you're a fan of rock and roll also🤟🤟
WoW, Very Excellent Art with Acrylic,
Thanks for your efforts.🙏🏼🙏🏼👌👌😍😍🌹🌹
The cool thing is that you speak English! I love this language. And the subtitles in portuguese help a lot. Magnificent screen! Thamks. Your admirer as an artist. José Carlos. I am Brasilian.
Wow, Rinske! It's always inspiring to see what you create. You really are incredibly talented. Again, I must admit, your commentary to yourself has become a favorite part of watching these! Your laugh really shines through. "Oh yeah, I like that a lot better now it's making green here.. of course!" (You sure like your green!! I do too 😊) And then again, before adding the Prussian blue. It's an infectious laugh and demonstrates how much you love what you do. My hope for you is that it'll always continue and never again fade away for you. This one definitely became my favorite painting of yours. I hope to one day afford to purchase an item. Until then, I'll keep practicing using your course!
🌹🌹🌹 Rinske, this turned out very beautiful. The blending of the colors around the sides is exactly what I would have done....God bless!!!
That is such an interesting use of color and it is stunning. That small amount of yellow green adds just the right contrast. I absolutely love the way you applied the white paint. It dies not need t I be blended it. It can stand alone.
I would liked to have seen a green flower somewhere, you keep amazing me
Não modifique nada, ficou perfeito. Parabéns 👏 ❤️ 👏 ❤️
I really liked the pale yellow green with the blues. I think you could have blended a little more in the painting. Stunning as always!!💖💖💖
I love it, it would be nice if there was a light shadow of color on the upper right side of the painting. As I feel, my eyes go directly to that spot. But I love everything else about it. 😊
Love the colours, very good composition, overall I really liked this piece

I love blues the way you love green! 😍 This one is elegant and simple. But there’s more to it than that when you look deeper. I don’t know if I’m making sense, just can’t find the right words 🤔
Love this one! I struggle with the white consistency so I rewatched the mixing portion of your awesome course and know I have it!! ❤
You are the best Rinske I took your course and I am thinking of taking your blooms course Bravo

Это просто магия, волшебство❤❤❤ прекрасные цвета, захотелось чуть больше жёлто- зеленого. Легкая свежая композиция, как весенний ветерок😊
Loved those colors!
I’m probably the only one that feels some color needs to go in negative space at top. Either way, it’s gorgeous.
Stunning!!
Beautiful !
Beautiful !! ❤🎉
Beautiful ❤
Beautiful Rinske 😊
I absolutely adore this-- the shape of the canvas, the palette! I love the pastel blue.
I think it is beautiful!!! I wouldn't add to it!!! Your work is stunning. Thank you for your gift.
I think this piece is really gorgeous and so glad you heard me call out to say, to put that last piece of the yellow/green in the lower right hand corner! It is perfect colours together, and love what you did on the sides grading the colours. Congratulations.
Very beautiful but would love to see a little bit more yellow 😊
Love it!
Amei parabéns BRAZIL loved It congratulations 💐🌷
Love the painting and the gradient sides! Nice change up! Give Tigo a hug 🥰
The gradient sides are great! Love your work, your pieces are always stunning!! 😊❤
Your work is absolutely beautiful and uncluttered. I want to say.
Rinske, I love the simplicity in this piece! It is gorgeous! The gradient sides are amazing!
I absolutely love, love, love this painting. My only less-than-100% would be the white loops left in it. They just don’t seem to be part of that beautiful “flower”. I am 77 and, if I can, I want to try that kind of painting. Thanks for the inspiration. Great job.
Absolutely gorgeous 🤩. Such refreshing blue colour palette and Love the composition 💕💕
It is lovely :))
You make it look so easy. I love your choice of colors 💙🩵💙
The sides look beautiful and complement your painting 🩵💚💙

It's beautiful. Love how you finished the sides
beautiful springtime delight
Absolutely Beautiful ❤❤❤
Mi sujerencia es de añadir un par de pinceladas más del tono amarillo para que resalte mas, pienso que sera mas luminoso. Es mi opinión. Saludos ❤️. Sus obras son muy bonito. 🤩
Wow! xx 🎉
I really like the blues, but somehow the negitve space makes it seem unfinished to me. But it’s beautiful Rinske.😊
I tried today the first time it looked so bad I will try again I hope my hand goes easy like u with the paint and brush
❤❤❤❤
Another interesting composition and beautifully woven colors!! I think the sides add another dimension but for me, I would have liked a more “ soft greenish yellow” as is in the painting ..the plain yellow is a bit overpowering..🤷♀️
Hello How do you have fluid colors with water ???? very fun paintings !
Looks like you use most of your pallet straight out of the tube. How do you get your paint brush to flow so easily please?
Do you put water and white paint all over the canvas before you start to paint? Do you add water to your paint colors?
I have a question please….what is in the bottle the you use for the white paint? Is the paint mixed with something to make it very fluid or is it just fluid white paint? TIA
Hello. What do you wet the canvas with before starting work?
Can these designs work on smaller canvas?
❤ I'm sorry, r u in using wooden caves on this piece?
Rinske, could you give us the name of the colors you use, please? Thanks.
You didn't mix your Amsterdam yellow green with water, did you?
Risnke, please. Could you explain better the gestures or moviments of the brushstrokes? Thank you very much
What are you wetting the canvas with?
Deff need same brushes to help that easy Rinske simple fluid natural glide look.
I'm naming it...🤔
