- We're looking 5 years back to the 25th anniversary of Disney's beloved animated classic, The Lion King. In Summer of 2019, Just Play, who still holds the license for The Lion King toys re-released an animatronic plush toy based on the Leap 'n Roar Kion from 2015, the Talk & Roar Simba. He's my guest in this episode of Kitwana's Toys!

Wow. That's so adorable and cool. Looking at your TLK merch collection, I have all of those plus more from the original 1994 movie. Of course, my collection of stuff is currently still in storage since ive moved from my old home to a new one. Haven't found any space to display them. Awesome video. Oh, just to correct you: Mathew Broderick was the voice of the original adult simba. Jonathan Taylor Thomas was the original voice of young simba. Just to let you know. Love the video and the toy! Keep up the awesome job!

Did you ever get the roaring lions mattel lion king set? It featured a simba and scar and they made roaring noises. It also came with the really rare Ed! Do you have that?
A MISB Roaring Kings set is still on my hunting list, but what I was able to add to my collection recently was the Adult Simba and Scar figures from that set! They're slightly bulkier than their Fighting Action versions due to the electronics. I've got them on display on my Pride Rock playset and they look fantastic. Simba's roaring feature still works while Scar's do not, but other than that, my figures are in great condition.

@@capuchinmonke1Good eye:) I sometimes can't help but take it all of the shelf and PLAY with them and reenact movie scenes! The playset and the original action figures are just way too cool, one of the most classic 1990s toys!
@@KitwanaLionI totally agree, Its impossible not to play with toys like that. Modern toys can’t even compete with 1990’s toys.

No, sorry, I do not, since I'm rarely ever selling my toys.
I had a leap n roar kion (now mouth won’t work) he still roars!
Just Play sourced the cheapest Chinese animatronic components for these toys, only good for a couple hundred activations before they break. Since most of the Leap & Roar Kions sat on store shelves for a couple years before they threw them out at $10 or sometimes even less, many of them broke before they sold.
