i think it might be the same/tuxedo cat may have a small head maybe but i would say overall same proportionss, great if u are thinking of buying young simba to display both of them
He seemed a lot more enthusiastic about the tuxie. Both models look good, and I'd display Simba, even if I wasn't an enthusiastic fan of the movie. It's just a good cat model, if nothing else.
Gotta say, you were spot on when pointing out the weakness of the head connection. My Simba's head just fell off onto the floor and several pieces broke off of it, scaring me to death. Really wish they built that better.
I have to say, if I wanted to buy a model simba I'd much rather buy a small version that i can display on my desk rather than a version that needs a dedicated shelf. Don't get me wrong, it looks amazing and the techniques seem cool, but I can't see myself displaying the entire thing. That being said, I'm not much of a lion king fan. Maybe a fan of the animated movie would clear a shelf like I did for the saturn V and space shuttle.
I'm sure the adult lego is more fun to build but honestly the kids simba looks better to me, the adult one has too many exposed studs and is kinda uncanny valley with some of the details
While it's not Lego, there is a 3D Crystal Puzzle of Marie that was released alongside other Disney 100 sets. One of the few times I've seen merchandise for Aristocats out there.
Once again, you are changing my mind about a set. I thought the big Simba would not be so interesting. But now it seens to be. Although, the fact you can just display it in one way (except for the head) still makes me doubting about buying it. At the other side: you can change cat not very much more and I wanted that set more. But now you make me doubting. Choices have to be made.
Forgot to comment this earlier but that bush piece in brown, used as the tip of Simba's tail here, first showed up in that color in the Rocket Raccoon mech set.
The big issue on the adult set, I have is that tail sticks out so far backwards without any movement and cannot sit on a shelf without wasting a lot of space behind it, or to to the side if you choose to display it that way, which looks not as good. . It would be better if the tail wrapped along the ground forward for a relaxed sitting pose and would thus be more compact. It looks nice, though.
It depends on the set for me. I couldn't imagine the legs moving from a sitting pose, but there could have been more poseability in the head, mouth, and eyes. To me, Mighty Bowser is still the gold standard, in that regard.
i build the big one, and i must say i'm kind of disappointing , a lot of special pieces, strange building techniques, they could have improved playability, rotating eyes, moving paw, more head rotation, moving jaw, ---- a lot of brick colors for the inner body, I would have preferred, one color for the inner body and one or two color for the other shell of the body . on the positive side the numbered bags are a great way to make the build easy, finished it look quite nice
He rarely does that kind of video. The only one I recall was when the Medieval Village set was revealed, and that was only because he attended the panel where it was first shown off.
I would’ve thought the right choice for the bigger set wouldn’t have been to have done simply a bigger young Simba, but an Adult Simba? Or Even a Mufasa? That would’ve encouraged adult collectors to get both sets?
I like the same concept at different price points release. I know online its mostly adults but i think alot of us forget that lego is a toy not just a collectible. Kids are going to love playing with the little one and adults will love putting the big one on a display shelf. Its win win.
Thank you for the review Tiago! I will most likely get the 18+ Simba. I’m an adult now and I really like the accuracy of it. The tiny one for kids doesn’t look as accurate to the big one
I mean, yeah it's a great set, but how many people want to spend their money because they specifically want a Simba on their shelf? I like the Lion King, but I can't honestly say at any time in the last 30 years I've ever thought "boy, I'd really love a Lego set where I can build a character from it, at an age they were only at for a few minutes in the movie." Maybe it's just me but I've always felt weird building organic things out of Lego; I'd rather build things than living creatures out of them.
i really do not like the 18+ set being so limited with posses and the neck being so thin, he look like one of those cartoon jokes where someone grab them by the neck and squeses really hard
But how does the big Simba compare to the Tuxedo Cat?
And are the heads interchangeable?
i think it might be the same/tuxedo cat may have a small head maybe but i would say overall same proportionss, great if u are thinking of buying young simba to display both of them
He seemed a lot more enthusiastic about the tuxie. Both models look good, and I'd display Simba, even if I wasn't an enthusiastic fan of the movie. It's just a good cat model, if nothing else.
I'd vote Simba, he is more cute, and I think he looks more organic
i just realized you were talking about which is better and i’d say simba, the cat face looks weird
Gotta say, you were spot on when pointing out the weakness of the head connection. My Simba's head just fell off onto the floor and several pieces broke off of it, scaring me to death. Really wish they built that better.

Should've made Mufasa as the 18+ model to be in scale with the Simba
I'm sure the adult lego is more fun to build but honestly the kids simba looks better to me, the adult one has too many exposed studs and is kinda uncanny valley with some of the details
We need to recreate mufasas death in LEGO if the sets come
Der der der🤡🤡🤡🤡
I want an aristocats set. I loved that movie as a kid. A set of the jazz piano scene would be great.
While it's not Lego, there is a 3D Crystal Puzzle of Marie that was released alongside other Disney 100 sets. One of the few times I've seen merchandise for Aristocats out there.
i'd like a pinocchio and dumbo ucs set
Obsessed with them both 🦁
Tuxedo Cat staring Simba down in the background makes me laugh, like he's jealous of the attention Simba is getting! 😅
Displaying a beheaded samba is now possible finally!!!!
Small one is cute and enough ❤
I would prefer timon and pumba as the ucs set. They are far more recognizable then the young simba in my opinion
Mine (just below 100 euro) sits on my desk, peeking from behind my computer screen. Instant happiness, every time I look into its eyes.
Tiago petting Tuxedo and now Simba is very endearing. 😄 You're a cat person, aren't you? 😸
Once again, you are changing my mind about a set. I thought the big Simba would not be so interesting. But now it seens to be. Although, the fact you can just display it in one way (except for the head) still makes me doubting about buying it.

Choices have to be made.
The snail at 1:24 is perfect
I agree. Save the extra hundred dollars.
Looking at the head connection, it seems like they could have used a longer rod to support the joint.
I wouldn't mind a LEGO Buzz Lightyear or Nemo. Even Monster's Inc. I might check out the big Simba model, as Lion King was my childhood.
They already did Buzz! It was a solid model!
Forgot to comment this earlier but that bush piece in brown, used as the tip of Simba's tail here, first showed up in that color in the Rocket Raccoon mech set.
What a great way to celebrate the movie's 30th anniversary!

Well, I'm super excited that they don't only have one, but TWO simbas
I prefer the smaller Simba. More posability. And much cheaper
As someone who is 18+, articulation is still pretty important. I like the smaller one better I think.
It depends on the set for me. I couldn't imagine the legs moving from a sitting pose, but there could have been more poseability in the head, mouth, and eyes.

How many bags does it have?
15 :)

The big Simba statue is much more "lifelike" and smooth in the build in comparison to the cat and Stitch.
Agreed. It almost seems like a sculpture that they'd display at a Lego Store or theme park, although pretty small by that scale.
Darn the head of the big one just falls off whenever you look at it. Mine broke into pieces and had to be reassembled🤣
2 big LEGO cats coming out on June 1st, which is Saturday. Or should i say Caturday?
TIAGO! We need to know your thoughts on the zelda set/theme even if its not out to review yet i think it would be an interesting topic
He rarely does that kind of video. The only one I recall was when the Medieval Village set was revealed, and that was only because he attended the panel where it was first shown off.
@@jardex2275 I know he doesn't but regardless I don't see why not, make some different videos he shouldn't be pressured to only make 1 style
So conclusion are they worth it for display purposes?
Pretty great set, especially building experience and npu
The head falling off easily is a big problem
Maybe adult Simba would have been better
I would’ve thought the right choice for the bigger set wouldn’t have been to have done simply a bigger young Simba, but an Adult Simba? Or Even a Mufasa? That would’ve encouraged adult collectors to get both sets?
Me pedí ese pack del simba nuevo en Amazon y pone que me llega mañana pero qpcteo que viene pasado
Love the purple croissant piece for a big, fleshy grub
Have you ever done a video on how to become a lego designer? I know you've talked about it in other videos, but have you ever done a full video on it?
Check his Lego Knowledge playlist.
@@randomnickifyI've already watched them all
i have the big one! and i love it!! although i dont think you have to be an adult to build it. I built it and i am 11 almost 12 year old
Here's hoping they'd make a Timon version, that one I would definitely buy :)
We should get koda from BB in this style
I like the same concept at different price points release. I know online its mostly adults but i think alot of us forget that lego is a toy not just a collectible.
Kids are going to love playing with the little one and adults will love putting the big one on a display shelf.

Small Simba must look hilarious if you swap his eyes
Thank you for the review Tiago! I will most likely get the 18+ Simba. I’m an adult now and I really like the accuracy of it. The tiny one for kids doesn’t look as accurate to the big one
I ordered both sets, I’m a huge lion king fan so had to, my bf ordered both as well and is still in doubt of the cat.
They should make Young Nala
love all your vidoes by the way
How does simba compair to lego cat?
Should have compared right? They're about the same size
@@TiagoCatarino Build looks similar too
Just here to say thay I'm an adult lion king fan. I would definitely display the simba build.
Tiago would have earned a MILLION times points if he'd started this video calling out "NANS INGOYAMAAA BAGIIIITHI BABA!!!"
Circle of life rr cutie sets great review 👍
I mean, yeah it's a great set, but how many people want to spend their money because they specifically want a Simba on their shelf? My thoughts exactly
I love Simba, cat and Stich. But I prefer minifigures over buildings or vehicles. To each their own.
Can you do a rewiew to lego Zelda?
I like the 6+ one more 😗
whens the review for the zelda set coming
It's nice but, I wish they added pieces that cover the areas that have the lego stubs to make it seem more smooth.
The size difference is hilarious
I think the designer has done a fantastic job creating adult Simba
If Stich is/was a sucess then this one is going to be a bigger and massive one
I mean sure but Lilo and Stitch >>>
I didn’t know LEGO was producing a for kids simba
I find the smaller model looks more like simba
I'm sure many of us 40 year-olds will love to build and display this set! Iconic movie from our childhood and still holds up for our kids today!
Imagine paying more for less movable build... I personaly think 18+ should have been Mufasa or Adul Simba even. And at least have movable front legs
Give me the Tuxedo Cat all day long over this one.
When are you reviewing Lego legend of Zelda deKu tree
I need Archimedes from the sword in the stone
The big Simba looks like the Lego cat but with an open mouth and the color orange lol
Girlfriend purchased disney lion king simba yesterday from her local toyworld store paid $149.00 loves it
3:17 you what they say curiosity killed the cat
i prefer the cat, more basic, but almost perfect
I miss Nala
here before i buy some tiger tank
Hakuna Matata
Wow
nice
I don't get it why the big one has the studs exposed. I also don't like the whiskers. This one looks weird to me
Don’t rotate Simbas head 360 degrees multiple times
if the nose wasn't so weird I'd be into it
but the nose is weird
First comment! Seriously, not my kind of Lego build but a nice review as ever
SIMBA
The small one is way better
Hii
i really do not like the 18+ set being so limited with posses and the neck being so thin, he look like one of those cartoon jokes where someone grab them by the neck and squeses really hard
Wow 70 views in 2 minutes. Bro fell off
big one looks horrible lol, if someone wants a big Simba why not just get a plush
You can't compare the two genres of collectibles now, can you?
