Love to see the real world side of those high caliber show trucks. Makes me feel better about a little bit of grease in the nooks and crannies on my truck.
Most of the time you just pull or push start it, then keep it running until you get to an idea place to change it, but if you happened have an automatic transmission, it's no big deal to change on the side of the road, thanks for sharing.

How do you end up on the side of the road changing a starter? Did the problem that warranted the initial stop get fixed? Good to see the mechanic was nice enough to lend his tools. My dad used to drive up and down highway 99 in California. Back in the day, drivers would lend tools (once even a 20 ton bottle jack) and tell the drivers to just leave them at the truck stop down the road when they were done, then stop on the way back to pick them up. Not sure if that would work out good today.

Brian, from a former tow truck driver, they should have had their warning triangles out to let people know what is going on. Go out and buy a relfective vest to wear on the side of the road for safely reasons. The freeways are dangerous place to be. Someone should have been watching traffic coming toward them.
How does astarter go bad driving down the road don't know the details but it seams the starter was broken before you left. JUST SAYING. Sometimes showing off that big pretty Pete takes time from the details. 🤑🤑🤑
Could have stopped for another issue that was already taken care of and then when he tried restarting the truck the starter was dead. Sometimes a bad starter can work fine when cold but not work when it gets heat soaked. With the truck needing a jump start its possible he lost a belt or the alternator but had the plants to fix that.
Why were the batteries dead as well. Dead batteries, bad starter, doesn’t make sense. 😳🤔 Why not give it a little pull and roll start it? Then drive it over to Love’s.

Every so often when servicing my truck, I spray bolts with liquid wrench, on starters, waterpump, alternator etc. Makes time's like these alot easier.
