Is the 13980hx better than the 7940hs in Adobe? I didn't see the 7940hs shown in the cpu comparison, and I'm trying to see if spending around 800$ more for a 13980hx laptop is worth it or if I should just get the cheaper 7940hs laptop instead with the same specs
Asus should make a laptop mixture with this and Zephyrus M16. This laptop's design is really good especially the ports. If they mix this two perfectly they may create the perfect laptop ever. I mean if we don't need voltage hungry bulky laptops. The solution is between them. 😂
What elements would you blend between the two? Just curious as I was waiting for the announced 3D version of this one from CES to come out and since it's vaporware I picked up the 4090 M16, so I'm a fan of both.
@@RyneLandersI mean it's my idea but I don't need 3D screen so the laptop u mentioned not something I'm looking for but good screen always something everyone wants. So I like studiobook pro's OLED screen. As specs RTX 4070-90 with HX processor would be good if Studiobook Pro body improves for better thermals like third fan in M16. Ports at the back is really a good design idea for me. Zephyrus series hinge design is unique but I'd choose some ports at back for clean desk. That's why I'm also looking for Lenovo Legion laptops. Cheers Jarrod ive been looking for something like this, I wonder if they will bring out an AMD equiped one for better battery at some stage? Im having trouble tracking one of these down in Australia for pricing etc, they must be pretty new, no sales etc?
Hey jarrod.. I'm having an issue with my laptop screen colours when nvidia gpu only mode is selected... It drastically changes the colour temperatures.. And looks really bad.. But if igpu drives the display it looks normal. Its the Asus tuf f15 2023 i7 and 4060
Been trying to shop around for 2in1 laptops lately for travel and work, I see all the brands have ones in the 13-16” range, any plans to scope out their performance with the new 13th gen’s and Ryzen 7000’s? Not a lot of reviews, would be awesome to see some coverage! :O
Asus should consider upgrading this design for a zephyrus s18 next year; tidy up the back ports a little, gather all big sized ports to there leave only USB-c on sides, change the color to silver and add a diagonal brushed pattern to the back. Increase the display size and add a 4080-90 version. If they can also upgrade the charging system with GaN they could decrease the weight further. I'd buy this in a heartbeat
@@ArchisLikhitkar no; that model has some issues in my opinion; only limited to 16 inch, still uses the same display as 2021 models (they are amazing but oled is still ahead) and something about its design consistency bugs me; sharp display corners and rounded chassis makes a bad duo. And wtf with that trackpad? It's position is not ideal even if you're not into gaming. Yeah I know that I'm asking for perfection but please, let me have it for 3000+ bucks price tag. If Lenovo offers a legion 9 with the base design of 2022 legion 7 with better trackpad placement or Asus offers a zephyrus s18 with the design of 2021 s17 with white option they will have my money; I also expect other features like GaN charger but these are top 1 priorities for me. I want to see them offering my very narrow niche a good option.
The one thing I HATE about this laptop is that the page up and page down keys are part of the 10-key number pad and are only available with the numlock off . That means you can either use the number pad, or you can use the page up and page down keys. Not both. This was a HORRIBLE design decision.

Just be careful when updating the firmware through WIN11 update as there have been many reports of botched installs that "brick" this amazing but expensive Pro Art laptop.
@@JarrodsTech Pardon how I phrases my comment, but I'm pretty sure then the contrast should be practically infinite and not 1:1. Because contrast = highest brightness ÷ lowest brightness. And then it's written as the ratio of whatever the result is to one. In this case, this would be whatever the top brightness is divided by zero which equals infinity. So ∞:1. If your instruments can measures the brightness/reflectivity of OLED blacks (which will be infinitesimal since the backlight is off), the contrast will be an absurdly large number, maybe a million, to one. Good video otherwise.

I want to have the best possible portable device for game, entertain, creation and work needs of mine. It's an utopia of its own but we almost get there. Btw closest thing what I want right now are Zephyrus Duo 16 and Legion 9i these days.
While it's not being referred to as a gaming laptop, you pretty much could use it as one, correct? All it misses is the RGB lights basically :D
Yeah definitely with these specs
Is this laptop better for gaming or zephyrus g16 oled? I think 140w TDP of this laptop compared to 110w makes a huge change.
Would you pick this over a Legion 7? Asking as a designer that games pretty heavily.
Also how long do you think the OLED screen would last before getting burn-ins?
The part you pushed down on the keyboard, it seems to be still flexing. Is its keyboard as sturdy as Macbook Pro's keyboard?
Almost all laptops do this to some degree, you can compare it in all my videos. MacBook might be less as it's a solid block of metal that's milled out
Hello, what gaming laptop would you recommend wiith a budget of 1000-1500 dollars. Also will you make a 2023 gaming laptop tier list?
Is the touch pad as nice as MacBooks?
Does the laptop support Dolby Vision or only standard HDR10?
6:04 mine screen doesn't flashes black when it does this
Greetings, can the core i7 handle 8k files on premier pro
Cheers Jarrod ive been looking for something like this, I wonder if they will bring out an AMD equiped one for better battery at some stage?
Im having trouble tracking one of these down in Australia for pricing etc, they must be pretty new, no sales etc?
Hey jarrod.. I'm having an issue with my laptop screen colours when nvidia gpu only mode is selected... It drastically changes the colour temperatures.. And looks really bad.. But if igpu drives the display it looks normal.
Its the Asus tuf f15 2023 i7 and 4060
1:00 - contrast 1:1
:O
Can you cover the zenbook oled with the 4070? seems like perfect weight and power laptop
Cinebech R23 I didn't see ryzen 7945hx cpu🤔🤫
MUX switch is actually so annoying that I always leave dedicated graphics always ON.
Advanced Optimus is the way
Yeah I'd keep Optimus on personally for quick sync but that's me
Is this good for music production?
Best laptop i have ever seen for photoshop edit 😁
Thank you for the review
Better buy a Legion Pro 7 then 😅
@@ArchisLikhitkar no; that model has some issues in my opinion; only limited to 16 inch, still uses the same display as 2021 models (they are amazing but oled is still ahead) and something about its design consistency bugs me; sharp display corners and rounded chassis makes a bad duo.
Please do one vid for Programmers and Gamers 🙏🏻
yes, so we can know that if we can play games with it
The one thing I HATE about this laptop is that the page up and page down keys are part of the 10-key number pad and are only available with the numlock off . That means you can either use the number pad, or you can use the page up and page down keys. Not both. This was a HORRIBLE design decision.
is RTX3060 laptop still worth to buy? in my country for the same price I can get a ROG G14 Zephyrus with RTX3060 85 watt or the MSI Cyborg 15 RTX4060 45 watt, so what I should choose?
This honestly looks better than most gaming laptops.
I want to get myself rtx 4060 gaming laptop, please help me,, which one should I go with??
When for the neo 16 rtx4090 pls ? Or neo 17 rtx 4090

Are middle east gaming laptops bad for gaming?

Plz i need your help to decide, i have razer blade 2080max q bought at 2020 should i get new 40 series or it will be fine to use in the next few years 😊 regards hope u help me
Can you suggest laptops or which graphic card is best in laptops for smooth 1080p- decent 4k video editing under 900$-950$?
I'd probably be looking at a 4060.
Please Asus, bring us silver or white color options or this laptop
This is why Asus is the most innovative laptop company at the moment.
damn the screen is wobbly as hell
Hey jarod i wanna ask, i accidentaly drop screw to my legion 5 motherboard, after that i turn on in its still looks fine, will there be any problems in the future?
can you put 8tb m,2 2* so 16 tb total storage
Hey Jarrod I have a doubt i have been using a 1650 laptop for the past few years is it good for me to upgrade to 4070 or 4060 coz u made a video telling 4060 was better vfm but my budget can be pushed to 4070 but I am not sure which to buy
I have a 4060 v 4070 video coming up in a week or so if you have time to wait for it.
@@JarrodsTech sure i definitely will hold my purchase for u . I trust you 💯
Until it does the dreaded firmware brick
Best laptop possible... since there's a second m.2 port for oculink egpu, can you test that btw
Hey Jarrod, do you not find the vram a limitation for video editing?
Lets say i have 1100$ which gaming laptop is the best for this price? Ang im aiming for rtx 3060
Can you do a top 5 best RTX 4060 laptop video? Including if you can review razer blade 14 rtx 4060 laptop?
Oh, if only this lasted for longer in battery life...
Just be careful when updating the firmware through WIN11 update as there have been many reports of botched installs that "brick" this amazing but expensive Pro Art laptop.
Is Acer nitro 5 2022 with ryzen 7 6800h and 3070 ti good? for 969.99 dollars
Yes. The Nitro 2022 model was pretty good and it's the cheapest you'll find a 3070 Ti right now.
Can you make thinkpad P1 Gen 6 and razor blade 16 comparison?
New Helios 16 and 18 reviews coming anytime soon?
No, Acer don't seem to plan on sending us anything until next gen
What happened to screenpad?
So I guess it's time to move on from my Asus F15 11800H-64GB RAM ?My friend Jarrod ? hah Nice one mate
Can you do i5 11th 11400h vs i7 11th 11370h?
No sorry, too old
I5 11400h destroy i7 11370h easily
Please do a review for Asus Vivobook Pro 16x (Intel Version)
0:53 "Contrast 1:1"
What?
It means perfect blacks.
Good video otherwise.
love it... I would probably buy it.... its weird that the thunderbolt / screen is on the right where most people use their moue.... why not on the back??? also I undestrand the punch this laptop has... but 4 hrs of video playback???? man.... I expected more making the gpu fall asleep and using "e" cores of the cpu....
can you test Ryzen 9 7945HX laptop? the CPU performance is probably at the top
Check my Asus scar 17 review. I also have a 7945hx CPU comparison against Intel
I can't see this being a good purchase for an artist that wants to draw on the screen. With the inability to fold the screen all the way so you can stand it up, it will be very uncomfortable to draw or sculpt on. So really the art book isn't an art book. Just another cool kids laptop with half baked gimmicky functions
2:06 are you kidding over there? Thats a ridiculous flex. So tired of money prostitutes on youtube, so hard to get honest opinions anymore
