On this album, I was amazed by this rendition of this beautiful song the most. Sting actually used his high vocal range again. For these few minutes, I felt transported by Sting’s voice to a magical time and place in my life, which included lovely memories of some family and friends I have lost since then. Music and the hippocampus are beautiful things. Thanks Sting!
Maaan...,my memories flew back about 28-29 years ago when I was still a fresh college boy..,lots of things happen back then, very good and sweet memories of course, accompanied by Sting songs, especially this one.. 😁😁👍
When I heard about this album and that this song was on it, I was most curious about how this one would sound. It's my favorite of your songs. It's different, but in a good way. I, for one, can understand why you'd not want to try to sing your songs exactly the same way all the time.
One thing you may not know Sting, after the April 22 1982 show at Nassau Colosseum, there was an ee -yyo eeyo yeah yo call and answer flash choir on our way back towards the hundreds of cars in the parking lot. We all had to face the traffic getting out and getting up for work the next day but it was a huge kind sound that I wish you could have heard as we got back in our cars. Paul NYC
It's counter productive to work against love. It takes effort to preserve certain things when a lot was taken from you. There is a point of serenity when time starts working in our favor. Eventually we'll always be close.🌜
Sorry my father, this version is not as good as the first recording. . It looks like as if you put a new bass track, on the old back tape with more piano along a lithanie seems singing by a common and weary singer. Nothing original made by some cover bands. . Please try to remember the simple complaint that it was before that overfull succses, don't forget too the 8 strings fretless, just that with your marvelous voice(may be a new 4x3 octave fretless bass)added perhaps some bossa maracas only in background. . I am certainly insane this evening to speak to you like this, with a big sadness in my throat. . Sorry my Dear Master 💙🙁💙
@@mickeblue It’s not about me, Ya douche! He refuses to accept that Andy and Stu were huge parts of his success. His ego is Ginormous! What an Egomaniac! I’m Sting 🐝 I can do anything! Watch me ruin earlier classics with my new lame ass renditions. I’m sure it will be better than the originals. Who needs those two? Oh wait, I do! I suck without them. I’m a pretentious prick solo. And my solo albums suck!

Just heard this version for the first time today.
I completely agree with your comment, love how he raised his vocal range.
He came back to his original style of singing in the 70s. Piety it does not use it anymore in the new songs.
Look up Walking on the Moon Cass Haley. You will be in for a treat.
Cute commenting🎉
Anche dopo anni è sempre stupenda! La voce di Sting è particolare ❤️

Maybe the most famous bassline of all time ...
God bless you!
Another one bites the dust by Queen?
Great song

Best Ska category ever!!!!
You are amazing !
I love Sting and I love this song and I always believed that it was inspired from Whitey on the moon by Gil Scott Heron.
sting old skool, had some good times to this tune
Better than the original police version. Love his vocal phrasing on this one

I coul on the moon but always keep my feets on the ground
Quarantine vibe anyone?
Sting karaokeing himself, lol!
"My songs" that these two other guys had huge parts in making.
Sting wrote all the songs...
Yeah, exactly! The other two made his songs sound much better!
I saw you there...in the moon and back. Eventually, a rocket ended up in the water and the message was still in the bottle.
I'm him. His old novel. His old shows. He loves himself. He wants me to love him. I see.

Did pop in your mind who is the one?
Never like The Number One Mr. Stewart Copeland. NEVER!!!

Takie jak Lady Pank :)
Watching in the solar eclipse.
Is Stewart Copeland playing on this version? Hmm
sting feat.cris cab please
Hi beautiful 😻😻❤️ , Joseph from 7oo club called , conversation included my BB words God is ahead 😅
la force de cette chanson était la légèreté qui faisait planer
pâle copie qui perd son âme
Quelqu'un lui dit que Sting était le chanteur de The Police et que ce n'est pas une copie mais une réédition ?
@@drhiyoko mdr 😂
Why?
But why....?

so this is the song cas haley did on idols
cas version is way better sry
the old cliché, but on his own! This sucks, I want the police back!!
Love Sting but this all seems pointless
The singer is in love with someone & feeling it walking back from her house to his.
What's the point of music? Log off.
This is terrible! The original was perfect! Why mess with it? What an Ego! 👎🏻
And you could do better... dickhead
Is it about doing better? This song is original from the 80s. It's acceptable to repopulate the audience man. Just chill out
Sting: Josh, play the high hat like Stewart did.
Josh: But Sting, I can't.
Sting: I know. Just do your best.
I think it's better than the original. Has a fresher and fuller sound to it. The original sounds dated and hollow in comparison
