Mads has made me come to realize that the reason I have no clothes that fit and no flattering outfits is because I simply dont take the time to shop seriously. My shopping is more like 'Its been a year since I bought pants, maybe ill binge spend way too much money on 1 item to feel good about myself and as soon as I get home i'll realize they're uncomfortable and never wear them again or return them.'
Jay Dee holy crap, you worded it perfectly. That used to be my mindset, I would buy things and once I got home, I would feel shitty and never wear that item again. I’m just so glad I’ve gotten to the stage where my excuse is I have no money to be buying clothes lol

Arguing with your boyfriend for 20 minutes that you're a C cup, not a B and end up getting the wrong band size so you go home with a bra that doesnt actually fit pretending it does to protect our own delicate female ego. 😂👍 yeah theres women that intentionally go home with a too big bra to half win an argument by forcing the bra to fit- and im one of them :)

I’ve wasted sooo much money over the years by refusing to return anything. I don’t know what I was thinking, I guess I just couldn’t be bothered. I’m making an effort to return things now and even just getting a $12 face wash exchanged at Target makes me so happy now 😅
Believe me I went through a similar phase. I dont know why but, my family always instilled in me that returning goods isn't well good lmao. It's almost like a shameful feeling to it? I now know it isn't. I am well within the boundaries of reasonable reasons to return items. And I feel much more better especially because the clothes i buy end up small for me since i am overweight. It really messes with me mentally just having clothes that are a UK size 14 when I am a UK size 18

My fiancé calls me the return queen because I’m always at target returning something. We have a 3 year old and when he goes shopping with me, a lot of the time I don’t get time to try on stuff or really look into what I’m getting. So when I get home that’s when I can actually try something on or check out what I got.

I used to be like Grace and refused to return things. Then, one day I had to go through all the clothes I wanted to donate or toss and it put into perspective how much money I wasted. Now, I either take it back or if a friend really loves it and is willing to purchase it at a discounted price, then I will sell to them. We also have a table at work where we leave free things for people to take, so I put stuff out there too. 😊👍🏼
