There is power in the song, it's beat and it's lyrics. I'd think a song like this wouldn't fit with Dexter, but you made it work. I think it made this tribute even more powerful.
Incredibly executed! Oh my god, this may be the best tribute you've made! The song matches up with the audio and clips perfectly. If you ask me, and I didn't know about your channel, I'd say Showtime themselves made this.
I was a huge fan of this show (I even have the special collector's complete series boxset), and I actually liked and approved of everything that happened in the finale. I just think it should have continued after that. I feel like the story wasn't over. I always wanted a man hunt scenario to happen (with ALL the key characters and everyone else needed finding out), not with Dex dying or at least not simply being executed (unless he ended up turning himself in or letting himself get caught) necessarily though. One more season with doing things like that would have been almost perfect to me. The "ending" we got doesn't feel like one, simply it felt like a SEASON finale and not a SERIES finale. Here's to hoping it returns in some capacity to really close it off. BUT amazing tribute! I really loved your video, and song choice (I've seen it used in some Breaking Bad videos and always wanted it to be used in a Dexter version). I liked the bits of audio/dialogue you put in there, and thought it fit well with the rhythm/beat of the music. Liked and added to my large Favorites playlist! Awesome work!
Thank you! Over time, my view has definitely lightened on the ending of the show, and though I feel in my honest opinion it could have ended better - but like you said, if the ending had been just a simple season finale it would have been better. Looking back at it, I feel as if the ending was average in comparison to my prior thoughts on it being horrible. My view will probably continue to change - for instance, the first time I saw the ending of The Sopranos I was confused and slightly upset, but after rewatching it I realized things I hadn't before and now I love it! Therefore, in time, I will likely feel the ending of this show is above average. :) Thanks again!
BadgerTv0 Thank you for replying. Again it just never felt like it was THE conclusion to the show, more so just closing one of the last few chapters at most. I think if the show had gone on for at least 1 more season they could have had things happen that I mentioned above (everyone finding out, manhunt, etc) I think it would have been great. The actual ending felt like the ending to a season as opposed to something that could close off the entire series. But yeah I'm not pissed about anything that actually DID happen in it. And you're welcome, really good work. :)
@@BloodeeJacob I actually feel continuing defeats the purpose of the ending as since we have no inner monologue we have no access to Dexter's thoughts so what that stare represents is entirely up to us. The whole final season raised this question of if psychopaths can ever truly become human and if so is it actually good if they do, is it good for someone who did so much to develop actual feelings and emotions or is it better if they just live by the code Vogel wrote. The ambiguity of it all makes Dexter's fate up to us, is he still a killer, did his loss kill his Dark passager it depends on if one thinks it's actually possible for psychopaths to eventually change, who Dexter became is up to us. Continuing the story removes the full meaning that final stare had since it's the last we see of him and ultimately the moment we decide what his fate was, was he a monster or a man?
@@BloodeeJacob It doesn't really stop there the finale leaves every aspect of Dexter's life in our hands. Did Quin, Batista and Masuka know, maybe they did and decided they didn't care or maybe they didn't maybe they did and decided Dexter wasn't important since he was dead. Dexter dumping Debra in the bay ends their relationship but what that relationship was is up to us, is his dumping her body the last victim of his dark passager representing it's death through her loss or is she the first victim that will mark his Dark passager consuming him. What was their relationship was Debra the anchor of his humanity that drove him to live or the weakness constantly holding him back making him reject his true nature. Did Debra save his soul or drag it down? The finale ends things in a way that leaves the entire show in our hands and gives us two narratives throughout Dexter's Dark passager was his true self or Dexter Morgan was. Whatever one is believed will create two completely different shows where his relationships meaning are quite different.
I totally get what you mean and I can appreciate the idea of us being able to interpret it either way. I certainly have my own thoughts that go both ways lol Complex and interesting to think about for sure. I guess I would just like to see visually what I envision happening on screen lol
Thanks, I too enjoy this song. I was worried that it wouldn't fit the show, but honestly as soon as I put the song over the video and listened to it I couldn't stop listening to it, I just had to have it on here! So, I made the song's slow and fast moving parts fit in where I thought was necessary, and this was the final version.
This tribute was as good as this show, which is a compliment, if you are wondering. Incredible choice of music and touch of editing!

Same here, I was about to go against using this song.
Better than your first Dexter tribute, so much power and feel to it. Incredible job!
I agree, thank you.
This is as good as the Breaking Bad Ecstasy of Gold video or any video done by any good UA-cam tribute editor. Fantastic tribute!
It's actually better then the Breaking Bad Ecstasy of Gold video.
Definitely one of the best videos you have ever made. I seriously hope this gets more views than your other videos, this deserves it.

Amazingly well done. This tribute has real emotions to it, great job!
Thank you.
