OMG, saved forever. I just finished revisiting Dexter. It’s been a blast yet again. Yet again i do not know what to do with my life right now 😢😢 awesome edit
Oh my god, T.j.!! This was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Great video to a great show done by a MAGNIFICENT editor! I love how you finally finished this one and it came out so beautiful for your first dexter video, everything felt so new and fresh to see and you used scenes that I never even seen in other videos before - and made me stop and say "wait, I don't remember that at all!" Haha! (i think i need another re-watch!) That really proves that your videos add that extra uniqueness which I always love! I also love that little color/b&w effect you did at 0:56 and 3:28! This video has a lot of symbolic meaning and you captured Dexter and the characters really well! LOVE the sequence of all the characters at the start and the B&W sequence as well! I can't tell you how much I loved that :D Superb job, T.j.!! I really hope to see more Dexter videos from you soon!! This one totally hypes me up for them and your future videos! I love this one a lot :D
Thank you Heather! You will definitely see more Dexter videos from me, and soon! I love the show so much and had so much fun going through it while putting this together. Thank you for your feedback!
Very nice! Very nice work! I just finished a second complete viewing of the series (in addition to repeats of many select scenes and episodes). This show has captivated me like none other. Michael Hall's brilliant 96-episode-long performance played a big role in that. My own life's experiences, trials and tribulations did as well. I may not be a psychopathic serial killer, but I KNOW Dexter Morgan nonetheless. Anyway, I'm posting now to offer a possible insight to those considering taking the Dexter journey (again or for the first time). From the beginning, the show had a "fantastical" feel to it (at least for me it did), as if it were meant to feel somewhat out of sync with reality. Certainly it was not intended as a police procedural, something I always warned others not to expect. Dexter's imaginary parade ending Season 1 might have been a big clue. There were others (such as his constant dialogue with his dead father and his superhero fantasy). The music, the cinematography... so after considering all of this again during my latest viewing, I finally decided I would make the psychological adjustment and begin viewing the show through a new lens. I would interpret it as a dreamscape of sorts, an alternate reality whose "fabric" is not so tightly woven. The overarching premise and events therein would remain a vehicle for the (oft-simple yet profound) philosophical undercurrents that were a big part of "Dexter's" powerful spell. It worked. A show that already meant a lot to me was made better. I'd found the final (?) piece of the Dexter puzzle. Everything fell into place, edges smoothed, questions answered. Maybe this approach will work for you, too!
Amazing work! Watching this video makes me miss the show and I have to go back and rewatch the series. It was really good but the ending sucked to me. It didn't really make much sense and it seemed like such a weak ending to such a strong show.

Thank you so much for the comment! I actually did not mind the finale as much as a lot of people did, still hoping for a Dexter comeback someday
