Matt, you're doing a great job going around to different cemetery's, don't let negative comments bother you. You certainly can't restore any of them yourself. But at least you care about them. Hopefully someone will take the initiative to get a restoration started. I loved Mary and William's headstones, the carvings must have been beautiful when they were new. Have a great week, thanks for sharing another video. 😊😍💖🌷🌼
I think my favorite part is how one of the Civil War markers has been run over by a lawn mower. 😡 Again, thank you for documenting these places. It needs to be done.
A lot of marbles and sandstones will fall apart due to ingress of moisture and freezing. It blows them apart. Stones that are soft and easy to carve as you see just decompose. Frost heaves over many of these tall multipart monuments. I see much of this a time and lack of care. Placing plants by your loved ones' grave as you see in many cases causes issues. Restoration in not cheep. Lots of German settlers? Nice tour.
I was wondering about how the weather was for you now and figured it was probably hot and muggy with thunderstorms like it is everywhere else.😰 Glad to see this video, I'm looking forward to your upcoming episodes. Later Matt. ✌️
@@539Productions I know here in Louisiana the city knows who and where people are buried. It is sent to the records department for the city from the funeral parlors !
Why do you feel By scraping the Dirt away, from the stones with your Hands will do anything, It won't, I have cleaned up to smaller cemetery, were I live, cut down Brush, though all of it in the woods, I have people come up , and thank me, for my time, and I have know family in the Cemetery, Its the right thing to do, Respect.
I don't understand, Why, If someone is Maintaining this cemetery, Why can't you contact someone and tell them about all the Hidden Graves, If anyone cares they will Make the workers cut down the Brush around them.
That's assuming it's not just a person with a lawnmower donating their time though. There is not enough money most of the time, or land owners are maintaining at their own time and expense. Thats why at larger corporate or govt owned facilities it often does occur. Although even there they would have annual budget. Hope that clears up the confusion.

I think it's so neat that they used to list the years, months and days the person was alive.
I agree! I seem to remember even finding one with hours once!
@@539Productions that's amazing! It just goes to show how much that person was treasured by their family. Very heartwarming.

Thanks so much Matt🪦💜😻
This my type of place to explore, superb
Thank you!
I wonder if any officials will see this and try to take care of this cemetery?!
Depends on the ownership, not really sure.

Thank you for all your adventures! I think the marble stones are being melted away by acid rain from any nearby industries and cities.
Matt: do you ever come to the south? Like New Orleans?!
I would like to one day, haven't yet though!

The city certainly has records of where these headstones 🪦 belong!
