We’ve lost many touching chats between crewmen of Soviet vehicles. I remember only that the stories told among them looked very “trustworthy” and natural. The only thing I recall is: - Hey, have you heard, the Pendoses don’t war without toilet paper... - Oh, really?! - Yeah, says that a week ago an entire platoon refused to attack untill they have it got
These were great! Massive clearly hired native Russian speakers to write and voice them. I also remember a story about an idiotic soldier who tried to put an M16 magazine into an AK and talking about whether NATO should be nuked or not: "We should just bomb them and be done with it!" "Yeah, right, and when they'll bomb us back, then what?"
The artillery unit voiceover is the MW2 Spetsnaz announcer! Edit: Looks like the attack helicopter unit VA is the MWII KORTAC announcer Boris Kievsky and Mark Ivanir, the most instantly recognizable VAs for Russians in video games
I still play this game since they shut down online servers now I am using the massgate version of world in conflict after completing the singleplayer again I play player vs bots now in multiplayer
It's a shame they re-used voice actors for the Soviets. Specifically the West German Leopard Tank is basically the VO for the armor, and the Lt. from the Soviet campaign is the VO for the air assets.
It's not surprising that the voice might be familiar in other game, since those are the voices of Yuri Lowenthal. He voiced many Russian-esque voicelines... while also voicing many iconic videogame character like Larry "Pixy" Foulkes, and in this case - he voiced both Bannon and Malashenko.
neither could mi-8 or the trucks can, but they do have voices for that are presented in the video but not in game. In some cases the helo could be flying low, thus the splash damage of 2s7's heavy ordinance could actually be inflicted on the helo. Or more luckily if a chopper is in the way of your artillery projectile it could take a direct hit and killed it by one shot
It's been a while but there are a lot of SDF files in //steamapps/common/World In Conflict that contain the sound files. You can't open them normally so I used community made tools to extract them, from the following link: zenhax.com/viewtopic.php?t=881 I think you need to download both of those files and run one, then select the bms file. If you're having issues you can try to download the quickBMS tool from the same community member to see if that works. Once extracted, the voice lines should be located in wicloc11 (along with a lot of campaign voice lines, prototype voice lines and other things). Voice line format is: [faction]_[status]_[unit type]_[action]_[subtype]_[###].mp3 Such as: us_c_tan_atk_amp_001.mp3 ^ This is the US armored amphibious unit [us] & [tan] & [amp], in combat [c], attacking [atk] line #1 (of 3)
Voice acting was amazing on this game. Thanks for uploading the quotes!

Yes! I wish somebody could one day upload the idle chatter between the vehicle crewmen and soldiers.
Awesome dude, still my favorite game after all these years!

Arties and tanks can destroy a helicopter when it’s stationary like hovering it depends if the heli moves
