I use Valla so often and almost everyone in my clan is always confused who she is and how hard she hits. I have her at +3 and let me say, she is an absolute beast. My only complaint is that shes a bit selfish with the buffs. Between her and Scyl, Barb faction war farming is easier than kicking your toe going to the bathroom at midnight!
I have a +1 Valla I use in my main Arena team, along with Deacon, Doomscreech, and Rhazin, to strip off the shields from the enemy team. She works beautifully there! I fo not believe she is just a Faction Wars champion. Those of who use her are not disappointed wih her.

I have 2 of her, they are both level 1, I think I use them as faction guardians, is it worth it level 2 copies of her? probably not right? I have a Thylessia as well so probably only 1, unless I want to use 2 for faction wars to replace war maiden.
So.. I have a potentially dumb question.. for characters like Ninja, Lydia, UDK, etc. can you pull them from shards? Or are they restricted to their terms of acquisition? For example, if I were to accidentally use my Lydia to rank up my Fenax (which would never happen, I promise lol), would I be able to get Lydia back?
Ninja was a limited log-in Champ and is not available anymore. Lydia you can only get once from finishing all the Faction War levels NEVER use her as a Chicken. Rhonda, Simple, Xena, an Rathalos are the only other champs that will never be available again. Doom Tower champs the Dragon guy an the Horse dude you can only get once. every other champ you can pull from Shards. edit: Monster Hunter Champs you can never get again also.

Soulcross and the altar of souls has been great for giving me a reason to hold a copy of each champ in case I want to build them.

Warmaiden is barbarian so valla doesn't even get on a faction content fight for decrease def.
