This also works if you load into the dz matchmake into a group for a random activity. You will load into another agents group but be in the dz. Just leave the group and their dz is empty most of the time
It happen to me on PS4, when my friend left the game and left me behind inside his DZ server. After the loading screen and put me back inside DZ, it took me 2 hours of wandering around without being attack. End up playing until I felt is time to leave. What I do know, once you exit DZ and into any DZ safe house. The server refresh and put you back to your server. As long you don't exit, you remain inside that server alone.
I used this method a while back, with some degree of success. It does work. It just takes a while to find an empty server sometimes. Being designed for group play, this game is lacking more options for solo play. I was glad to see Countdown is getting a Solo mode. Just hope it's not full of purple loot.
I can confirm that this works. I randomly did this method one day and was surprised. Eventually people came into the server but it was fun for a minute.
Let me say it worked I was able to get 2 God rolled system corruption item's I was so happy n at the same time increase my dz level thanks to easily extraction. However I need to point a few things 1) once u logout n log back in straight away exit to the dz, if u wait too long the game will force to push u Into a full server. 2) when u die there's a possibility tht the game will put u in a full server, thankfully when I died I was still placed in the empty server 3) I don't know bout this but the npc I go against feel like they r on challenging some times they are on hard. I don't know this attribute to the server being empty.
Very cool. I’ve heard you can also enter, grab a couple contaminated items, fast travel to the safe house and then log out. Then wait 8+ hours to log back in with that character and you’ll have an empty server. Much better to not need to wait so long though.
Tried several times with different DZs and it didn't work whatsoever for me. Then tried again later in the day and it worked! 5 glorious hours to myself! 🎉
Unfortunately they fixed it with todays update. I get thrown in back into the same lobby after reconnect, and the times it works upon reconnect the door is blocked until the game automatically assigns you to an DZ instance with people in it(the loading screen). Sad.
load in. check the map for activity. if you see activity log out. dont interact for 30 seconds. as soon as you see the character screen load back in. enter the dz check the map for activity.......repeat until you get the empty server
@@mikerzisu9508 yes so you wait a few minutes, if you dont see landmarks turn red or extractions or red/yellow rogue activity then its a good chance its empty
@@MisterBam01 but some players waiting only inside control points just like you so be careful sometimes if you think the server is empty but some rogues just waiting players to farm or extraction while they are inside control points.

I also find it to be hit and miss. It’s just a little helpful for those solo players than get rushed by groups
Can confirm it still works I was able to clear a landmark and extract items without anyone coming to kill me.

yes if you die or someone joins you mid session that tends to open the server

there used to be one where if you just logged out whilst in the safe house and then log back in 15 minutes later

On Xbox, if you test your NAT type you can get an empty public lobby in GTA. Anyone know if this method could work for DZ?

yes, log out whilst in the dz then log straight back in. for some reason this has a 90% chance of giving you a empty server.

It takes time to get one. Sometimes once sometimes 12 times

Yes, the problem arises when someone dies or leaves. For some reason that re opens the server
But how do you know that it’s empty?
I know lots of people say the dz is dead, it isn’t. So if you wait a few seconds you will see activity. Landmarks/rogues/manhunts/extractions
