It is startling how many of these activists claiming "oppression" come from well-to-do, privileged backgrounds.
A prison of golden bars is still a prison. A well dressed slave is still a slave. If you don't have any rights under the law, you aren't privileged. Up until the 90s, husbands could still rape their wives in many states. Up until the 80s, a woman couldn't get a bank account or credit card or a mortgage without a husband.

Thank you for this, Alex. I read 'The Second Sex' at school, along with Germaine Greer's 'The Female Eunuch'. They fuelled my own rebellion, though I never found the politics of it all at all engaging, having come from a British family where many of the men of the family had been mowed down in the fields of Flanders in World War I, and strong graceful women of faith had perforce, to run the show. I thank God that He showed me something better in later life. Praise God for your ministry.

I'm one who wonders about Camus ....he and Sartre were good friends until Camus disagreed with atheist materialism by saying the revolution was not worth innocent lives. Camus was from Algeria and his mother lived there all her life, seeing buses blown up by terrorists in that horrible struggle. Camus was not against the betterment of Algeria but said "If I have to choose between a bus blown up for the cause and my mother's life, I will choose my mother." This refuted the rules of the revolution and the personal life. Camus died in a mysterious car accident soon after.

It sounds like she was a hedonistic narcissist who was unable to have meaningful relationships and because of those two core defects in her personality she died alone, no children, drunk and miserable. A psychologist might link it back to mommy and daddy issues, but like Occam, I think simple explanations are often best so I'll just boil it down to plain old selfishness, and selfish people tend to have sad lives and sad endings. I dunno, if you take life advice from a person like that ya might wanna have a serious discussion with yourself or someone else about what condition your condition is in.

Taking any idea/philosophy to an extreme can be destructive, some marriages can be oppressive to both men and women alike. Raising and maintaining a family is probably the most challenging and demanding task in life. Sacrificing one's individuality for the overall well-being of the family can be both agonizing, frustrating, and fulfilling at the same time. Marriage is not for everyone, but once you have kids, then the priority paradigm has to change from the individual to the family.

How did god create man in his own image, then create them as man and woman? Seems like a contradiction. If god is man he didn't create man, as man and woman in his image. If god is woman, the same thing applies. If god is neither man nor woman, or both man and woman, still he didn't create man in his image, since man is still very different from god.

The Holy Bible, in this passage, is factual/historical and written in a poetical style. As such, truth is further explained and emphasized as the passage goes on. It’s like when someone says, “I’m tired; I’m so very, very tired I could fall over!” The point of their fatigue is increased, emphasized, as they express it. Also, “the image of God” is one of the most misunderstood phrases in the entire Bible. The image of God refers to our shared, unique abilities, like creativity, the capacity to love, and other intangible qualities that all human beings share with our Creator God. My Heavenly Father isn’t an old man with a beard and cane. That’s not what the passage is portraying here. I've been throwing a fit on the internet about women. I was finally getting it out of my system. I didn't say a single word to any woman, but apparently they were listening in on the internet. I agree. I have felt this for a long time, they are the second most destructive enemy of men, satan being number 1 of course. But still, the fact that they have caused more damage than atomic bombs and all the wars in history is truly a testament to the cruse that they represent.

What are you talking about? Woman are the majority of the electorate. No politician can risk offending women, and women collective demand more for women without regard for the overall effects.
