313bhp is very impressive for a 3.0 diesel engine! But I'd love to see if it can actually get anywhere near that 51mpg in a typical driving because its well known that "official" MPG figures are often totally unrealistic. Although to be fair even if it only did 40mpg that would still be good for a car of that size and power.
I've got a bmw...never thought I would but I live in Germany and this car makes total sense. Diesel is 113.9 euro per litre..yes you read it correctly...they arent banning the stuff like the UK media portrays. So much so I'm going to get one of these next.

Best thing about this car is the fact that this engine will be fitted to the all new F30 3 series... bringing the price down.. and most important.. the fun UP.. with the body of the 3 series over 200 kg lighter that that of the 6 series... more performance, sharper response, better acceleration, more practical ( 4 doors ) ... just perfect... can`t wait for it.. :)
They didn't say which Ferrari or Range Rover. "More efficient" doesn't mean "will use less fuel" either. While the comment was poorly judged, unstructured and a bit crap it was also true.

It is a stunning car and it would not look so good if they had changed to proportions to fit adults in the back;. You don't criticise an elise for being small inside because it fits it's purpose, as does this car.

Faster than a Ferrari? it does 260km/h because it is limited, its impossible to tell the max speed, also a Range Rover sport with the best engine its a V8 more powerful and its not more efficient as a Prius.....
The person who reviews this car doesn´t have the facts right. 640d is NOT the most powerful diesel engine BMW has ever made. Dont forget the 745d that had 329 horsepower.

The price of diesel in U,S is crazy expensive petrol prices are ridiculous everywhere in the world nothing is practically cheap anymore.

The powerfullst Diesel engine from BMW is nowadays 381 bhp I6 triple turbo.
BMW 550d is more powerful with three turbos...
