Jimin the main dancer and lead vocalist of bts for a reason. Jimin is so Talented. He is the most skilled dancer. He is trained contemporary dancer. He also trained in modern dance. He also learned ballet, street dance, hip hop , jazz , popping and locking , isolation etc . Jimin is experienced in martial arts too . He also learned teakwondo ( in which he has black belt) , hipkado , kendo for 8 years etc. He is so Talented. Jimin and jhope both are main Dancers ( Plus Jimin is lead vocalist too). I got to know BTS because of Park Jimin kicking dance and also his flexibility every time I saw BTS clip dance .... As RM said they got attention during their debut coz of JIMIN epic acrobatic dance and seems I get it now
I think that what make Jimin who he is and how idols use his choreo as a guide. He combines his martial arts, contemporary dance, hip hop, and overall talent to make up his dance style. It’s mind blowing and so much fun to watch. 💜

I think the acrobatics that Jimin could add to their choreo in the early days helped BTS stand out among all the rookie idol groups. ❣JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey!
JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!!
JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. Each dance move is executed flawlessly, his extensions all the way to the fingertips, his lines so clean, his fluidity, his poise & elegance, his ever so graceful moves, but yet, sharp, quick & deliberate when required! 📌Side Note: Apparently when learning Taekwondo, as a little boy, I beleive Jimin said that doing the splits was one of the first thing required to be able to do. He said that he'd put his legs split, up against the wall for quite long, hrs at a time in the beginning..He started at such a young age and trained for 8 yrs various forms of martial arts, even wanting to be the best swordsman in the world, so he took up Kendo after watching the anime 'One Piece' and wanting to be like his fav character Zoro.. Even when he was a little boy, whatever Jimin did he had to do it to perfection! He even won many competitions and awards for being best, when it came to competing in martial arts as well!

Jimin trained for 8 years in the martial arts 3 - Hapkido, Kendo and Taekwondo (he’s a black belt). He trained in hip hop (popping and kicking) before he studied modern dance - jazz and ballet - and contemporary dance. He is described by several dance coaches/experts as a prodigy, and rightly so.
