Felt that 9x8 was a little too small to start off, so I tripled everything while following along.
I made a grave mistake
E: The house could be seen from the other side of the universe. Worst part of this is the amount of resources you need to farm. This is supposed to be a starter house build, but your boi went all out and created a beheamoth. Actually have like 5 or 6 floors compared to the one in the video where it was about 2 or 3. It was amazing, took forever, but in the end it was all worth it

How to make a starter house:
Step 1: find a mountain
Step 2: dig into it and make a room
Step 3: make a door
Step 4: furnish it
Done.

I built it twice and when I did it in my infinite world in creative,since I had a texture pack on ,I made it in a birch biome,I had to use yellow leaves(birch leaves in texture) and it looks great

I can’t believe I found this video. I created this house like 4 years ago in my Minecraft world. I’ve deleted that world but know that I’ve found this video imma make a new world and make this house again.
I built this first in a realm with friends but after I think 2 years we lost the world but I finally found the tutorial again so I built in my main world.

if you follow the steps exactly as he says them, then yea, it is alot harder, and more deadly, although once you build it once or twice, you should get a feel for it and find a few other ways to build it. if there is need for it, and if @Rizzial is alright with it, i can show off a more survival friendly way to build this, as well as some modifications to the original design i make to make it more space efficient.
Just use creative mode and switch off

I don't know if this is how it works on PC since I play on Switch, but when I can't deal with creepers blowing stuff up near me, I switch the difficulty to peaceful to build the whole house, dig a 6 blocks deep trench around the house that way no creepers can stand right next to me on the outside of the wall, while I'm inside, and making a hole in the wall, and then switch it back to Easy/Normal/Hard. I hope this helps you

It's pretty simple in terms of building, you don't know these days what people could build. And I just build this and it's very easy to build.
•qink uwu• not talking about the build itself, I’m referring to seed randomizers. For instance, in my survival world i went through several survival house tutorials, I had to build my own that looks like garbage. I don’t have the spruce or the dark oak at my disposal and that is crucial for 90% of survival house tutorials. Not to mention making your own house is much less time consuming because you have to make sure that you have the perfect amount of resources and get it all perfect whether then just gathering a bunch of resources and making something on your own. I checked 3 of my survival worlds and none of them had a dark oak forest more than 2000 blocks away.
