I have both the lenses - 50/700 and 90/700. Have built Refractors using both. But like the 50/700 is virtually free of chromatic abberation since it's a very slow scope (f/14), the 90/700 has a lot of it since it's a fast scope (f/7.7). This is quite common with large achromatic doublets that have short focal lengths. The image quality is great on both the lenses and can be further improved using Plössl eyepieces. But, if you're very sensitive to chromatic abberation then I don't recommend the 90mm.
My 90 is under construction so hope for best what I get from that and I just looking good mounting stand can u help me in that....
@@aaaazzzz929 All the best for your build. For both of my scopes I use a dovetail base, which allows me to mount them on any standard camera tripod. If you want to know more about this, then WhatsApp me on 8811856426.
But, if you're looking for a standard telescope mount, then the EQ mount by Tejraj is a good option I guess. It costs around ₹5-6k.
You can make some improvements for you 90 mm, like darken the inside of tube, but the best improvement would be to see if you can apply an Anti-reflective coating on the lens. Not sure how much this is possible though. Also you can use two 90 mm /FL=700 in a simple Petzval configuration and get an approx a FL of 1/2 of 700 i.e 350 mm. This becomes a fast F/4. Also you will need to add some field stop between the two lens. You can try the same with a 90 mm and lens of smaller diameter like 70 mm or 60 mm too.

Actually I don't need that for making diy telescope...
I made one diy projector and i couldn't find specified triplet lens to focus image as it's not available in india but i came to know that achromatic doublet lens can also product sharp image ,so i was searching achromatic doublet lens of 70-80mm dia and 200-250 focal length ... For now i am using normal convex lens of 200mm fl but image is not sharp...
Hope you got me some suggestions to get that specified lens

Bro yes u can see moon but u can't get good details it's will not satisfy you.......so better go for achromatic doublet lence with 700mm fl for best results

I don't have specified eyepiece ... I just have two lens one is plano convex lens of diameter 75mm and focal length 1000mm and another i have achromatic doublet lens of diameter 38mm and focal length 200mm.. if i consider this 38mm achromatic lens as a eyepiece then can I make a telescope? If yes then how much will be zoom? And what things i can clearly see in space???

@@aaaazzzz929 yes you are right I can't find 90mm one, so is 50mm with 25 mm eyepiece is OK for Watching moon and some other objects. Does it have enough magnification and clarity in the image.
Bro for good magnification u use 10mm or 8 mm eyepiece first find out object with 25mm than use smaller mm eye piece because it focus very small area and u should have both eye piece and 50mm is best lenc ,the quality is very good u won't regret after having this...

Bro u need two screws to be tightened with ur Telescope tube on some u can say wooden block or plastic rectangular block 5 cm long that will easily tighten on tripod screw this u can do for fixing....

does anyone make a 90mm x 1800mm focal length or even a 90mm x 1200mm?
We have only 700mm focal length in 90mm so not possible for higher focal length.
You will need to use a 2x Barlow lens along with this scope.
Better to have less or optimum fl for diameter of lens. Longer fl makes telescopes more sensitive to earth's vibrations
