I lived in the Nickerson Gardens at the time that the Sylvers were there and I used to hang out with Rickey and Edmund. Wow didn't know they were from watts California. Went to Carver elementary on 120th and success in LA in early 70s. Back before 105 freeway came thru. 11710 south Slater street. The Harris family. So cool because I had six siblings as well. I remember when Hawkins burgers was just Hawkins corner market on Slater and imperial across from nickerson gardens. Awesome memories. I even remember Cynthia Hawkins as a kid cheating us out of our money when we redeemed bottles. She'd only give us half of what they were worth. Lol I know I'm babbling right now but yes this was my favorite sylvers song, this one and Misdemeanor by Foster sylvers. I thought they were better than Jackson five, well at least their earlier stuff. Then they're music went the way of disco pop. Anyway good memories.
