Got to love Cadillac's! My first job after I graduated high school in 1982 was at a Cadillac, Pontiac, Buick, GMC dealership! I was the only Mopar guy working there 😊, but other than my Mopars I'm a Corvette guy , I'm on my 3rd Corvette now! I was named Mopar Mitch by my co workers but actually I should be Muscle car Mitch!🤣 Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
Cadillac was king of the automobile world . It was the car of stars , leaders , pillars of the community. Leader in style & technology. That is a Coupe Deville. Even as a wreck, it has style.
Hilarious comments all through this. Haven't laughed so hard in several days. I loved the easy to parallel park comment with the hole in the floor pan.
Good day Officer, Uhhh tinted windows? Um, no. That's moss! ILLEGAL? BUT, WE'RE RESTORING THIS CLASSIC MASTERPIECE! It's the original glass..... Fine? How much of a fine?
I'm speechless. Was there anything on the car that didn't have moss on it? If you look up demolition derby, there is a picture of this car. I think this car was pulled out of that swamp next door to the Bates Motel. There is a bumper sticker on Christine that says, my other car is a white 1961 Cadillac Coupe Deville. Anyway, funny video. I can see you had fun with it. That's the whole point right?
That’s definitely the point. Haha. The other point was to verify it was a good donor engine for the owner’s ‘58. We later learned that a cracked cylinder head and damaged piston meant it wasn’t… after it had been cleaned and beautifully painted. Typical. It sure seemed to run well though. What did we learn? Nothing, probably.
@@DeadDodgeGarage Unfortunately its always a gamble with these old cars. I just bought one and some things are going my way and some not. I like it thought, what a cool car. Im a sucker for really big old cars. Thanks.
Those are great cars! I have the exact same one, well without the moss and my rust holes are smaller, but it is the same color. I think you should keep it even if it means an engine swap. (Blasphemy) these cars run and drive smooth and comfortably. I know you are a Mopar guy but who knows this one could sway you a bit. Also I just subscribed I like all old cars and have had many different brands although I like Cadillac and Buick the best
Awesome. I love Buick too. I had a ‘67 Electra for a while. What a great driving car. The ‘61 isn’t mine, it’s my friend Josh’s. We considered a build for the channel. It is currently seasoning in someone’s field. Thanks for watching!
Not yet. I finished a self produced album last year that hasn’t been released yet. I kinda got distracted and started doing UA-cam. Haha. It will happen, and when it does I’ll probably announce it on the channel.
That POS haint been on the road in more like 20-30 years lol. No way it was driving 6 years ago, it's a complete wreck. Must be a tag from another car.
@@seanjohnson6899 Nah it wasn't in this video, it was later in real life. The shell of the car ended up in Canada. There's actually a vaguely hilarious border crossing story involved there. Anywho.

Beautiful job my friend!
You got the nice one. Between the Fins and the Gangster wagons. And it's a coupe. You struck gold there, Bud.
We'll take all that rain! Love that Power Wagon!
Love it ❤️ my dad was into caddies and owned quite a few thanks for the memories
Sharp looking car! Deserves fixing up
I agree. I love the thing. It’s rough in many places - especially floors. But it’s fixable.
@@DeadDodgeGarage If the floors are the worst part, you're pretty lucky
Pretty cool, love it.
Cadillacs are very forgiving..... I wish my 61 Chrysler had been.... But the 60 Chrysler is!

That is an awesome "do what you gotta do to keep the exhaust together. I'm either do smart or to dumb to have been able to do that. 🤣
The Standard of The World indeed !

Old Cadillacs is where it's at
That Cadillac would make a great demolition derby car.
Definitely
Really enjoyed the video
Cool video!! Oyeah that Cadillac is a keeper well maybe not.
When Aberdeen put out the sign "Come as you are" I don't think they expected that Caddy to roll in...
Haaaaahaha. Unfortunately for them we keep bringing them as they are…
What more do you need? Starts right up- drive AND reverse.
Hey. I like this video!!!😂😂😂

I’ll take your word on it
Cummings swap
That was my first thought, naturally… the hood is damaged so we’d leave it off…I have the drivetrain already.
Save the engine and transmission. Ditch the car.
Huh. That’s actually what happened.
@@DeadDodgeGarage didn't watch till the end..👍
