Konstantin Ridaya I will check that family. Thank you. You are right about younger low voices. They are rare, but that teacher 'knew' so much people like me don't take the trouble to tell him different. My story for him would not have been about myself. My older brother, small for his age as a HS Freshman, was in a classroom with my dad and a teacher to audition for Stephen Foster Vocal camp in Eastern Ky.. Those waiting in the hall wanted to see for themselves that the low voice they had heard (A flat below the C most baris. Can hit) came from that little body and not one of the grown men. My brother would not have told us about it. Dad did. By the way, that teacher was a tenor.
When Julianne first started singing “Fields of Gold” I broke into tears. Please don’t stop making music for a long time Petersens! You are an oasis in the desert of industrialized and lifeless music.

Peace with you and your family. I live in Southern MD. New ro the East Coast, (5 years now) having been a West Coast girl my whole life.( I just turned 68). My mother was born to Hungarian immigrants who came to the US in the early 1900's. When getting off the ship in the NY harbor, they were sent to a small coal mining town in West Virginia called Rex Star. They raised 8 children in a very small 3 room house. My mother taught herself how to play the Ukulele when she was 4, and as she got older, she played the guitar, mouth harp, harmonica, piano, and organ. She sung like an Angel and could yodel her little heart out. She use to sing Blue Grass and how I miss her. We'd sing around camp fires, she'd sing to my sister and I, even after we grew up and started our own lives. She sing to my 2 girls and my sister's 3 boys. Listening to you and your family brings back so many memories of my mom. Thank you for all you do and for bringing your beautiful voices out to share with the world. From a long time lover of Bluegrass, Gail Scott

By the way, also a musician. From Russia. (I am sorry if there are mistakes!).

Music was created by Jehovah God as a means to give thanks to Him but it encompasses mathematics, linguistics, and ages/timeless instruments of percussion and beat. It's the perfect/most fantastic element one can acquire next to private personal prayer. On so many occasions the ancient Israelites gave thanks to God through song and I think that those few basic reasons I just mentioned pale onto the background when you sing or hear someone who sounds so absolutely perfect that it just takes your breath away. I discovered your family band just a few weeks ago. I have been so blessed by listening to you all make awesome music. I am a musician myself and have been playing guitar for 57 years. I've played in several bands over the years from rock & roll, to country, gospel, and bluegrass. I've been a member of a bluegrass jug band (Dean Duckson & the Turkeysnorts) for 40+ years and have had to opportunity to share music in lots of venues in several states. The "Turkeysnorts" was originally inspired from my visit to Branson in 1973 where I spent an evening listening to the "Bald Knobbers". I have been blessed by those experiences. I have to say that bluegrass/gospel is probably my favorite genre of music. I have been incredibly blessed and inspired listening to you all this past few weeks! Keep it up!!!! Wishing you God's richest blessings in all that you do! .......Kim Richardson (alias Slim Pickins)
Hello Petersens Family. It is a pleasure to have met you on the web during this "quarantine" time because of COVID-19. I live here in the city of Curitiba, in the State of Paraná, Brazil. My state is in the South of Brazil. I'm 59 years old and I really appreciate the kind of music that you play and sing. They claim quite a few hours of my life. I wish you all full success and a very special blessing in your careers. Special congratulations to your father and mother. Our mighty God will guard each one of you.
Katie always looks like she is having such a nice time. Of course they all look like they are having fun. Thanks to all of you for bringing such joy into my life. Stay safe and stay well. 😊
I'm really happy to hear a wonderful live performance of Petterson from far away Japan. Please listen to the live from time to time on UA-cam after the new coronavirus is over. With gratitude from the dear Japanese who dream of going to Bronson to hear the Petterson family perform.
How in the world am I just finding The Petersens!? 300K subscribers isn't nearly enough. This is true talent and the American family at its finest; what a blessing to watch and listen to!
Thank you so much for sharing your heart, faith and gifts of GOD. My wife and I are so blessed to be able to partake of GOD's grace as provided by you all. May HE continue to fulfill all your dreams and meet your needs. Julianne...your voice is so angelic...thank you!
I live in Tijuana, Mexico I found this group some months ago lisening contry songs, and instantly found the best band I ever heard in the world, I loved all the songs of the live Concert. By the way here in México is really strange that somebody knows this kind of music. so beautiful and peaceful songs and lyrics, I loved this band Recomended for lisening at the start of the morning, while watching the sun rising behind the mountains👍🌄
If you ever have the opportunity you should visit branson missouri. It is like the “Redneck Vegas”. But it has so much to do. Lush forests and beautiful lakes
Ladies as always, magnificent, ethereal, Julianne absolutely love the “Fields of Gold”. Katie as always great smile! Ellen as always, so heartfelt. I am hooked.
I live in the Kansas City area and go to Branson almost every year to fish and golf. I can’t believe I’ve missed this unbelievably talented family and friend. This truly is some of the best of the best on UA-cam hands down! I will definitely be skipping a round of golf and or fishing trip this year, and I’ll go see these amazingly blessed god loving people. I get tears listening to such greatness. ❤️❤️👍👍😍😍
What a credit to our country this family is. May we return to these family values and love for each other, God and country. You don't get a family like this without it. Beautiful stuff, God Bless.
At 13:38, when Julienne played a solo she tried to tip-toe to make it stand out a little bit more. These wonderful musicians definitely listen to one another & are aware of the sound around them.
It's funny how you can tell this family loves The Lord even before they mention it. Bring up your children in the way they should go and when they are old they will not leave it.
All the young women and men in this band sing beautifully and with such sweet and wonderful harmonies, but my favorite voice is that of Ellen, who also plays banjo. I think of her as the girl with the golden hair and the golden voice. Banjo has long been one of favorite instruments. It is so refreshing to my ears, mind and heart to hear this family band perform. I love their endearing smiles. The instrumentation is superb. Well done, family and friend, well done, indeed!
I've long been a heavy rock kind of guy, but always had a soft spot for bluegrass. I recently watched a video where you cover "Country Roads" and it brought tears to my eyes. Love everything you do. What a beautiful family. Your parents should be proud. I'm a big fan.
Matt: We're going to start off with a song that is really special to our family. One, cause it's over 100 years old and also our mother wrote this song..." lol good job Matt
In my family back in the 50's we all sang and learned to play like the grand parents, but after playing in school concerts till age of of 12 twelve. We all went sidetracked in the maths and sciences of the time with hopes of everything you can imagine. Music took the back seat---the family of 4 brothers and 2 sisters after many singing performances gave it up. Dad thought we were better than the Lennon Sisters. I love this family going for it and pray they go a long way. Much thanks from an old timer now.
The most beautiful trio with the softest and sweetest voice in the world! Congratulations, from a fan from Brazil. God bless your family and your country!!!
Incredible. Love it. Blue one of my favourite songs, and a great version of it. Fields of gold was amazing, never heard it before. A few years to late, but you did great.
my new favourite band, my brother who lives in Normandie, France, told me about you guys...I live in London....I was listening to Bob Dylan's new album for two days and now I'm listening to this beautiful family with loads of talent and grace and charm and honesty and niceness beyond belief. So beautiful too, but the most beautiful of all is the Stand Up Bass player.
so true Brother. I hit a link, Country Roads, and was hooked immediately. They are all so darn cute and good, but that fiddle player, Lord have mercy, she is something else.
I am French and I just discovered your music and song that I listen to every day. You are a family that I love very much, you always have a smile and transmit good humor. Thanks for what you are and keep going. I love you.
Algo similar me ha pasado a mí: les he descubierto hace pocas semanas y todos los días, antes de dormir, escucho un ratito a los Petersens. Son fantásticos.
when he said "she got married in january, so she's already beating the expectations of a banjo player" without cracking a smile. i died!! lol that was low key my favorite part of this as a banjo player
Wow!! I usually will not go Branson when my wife and the rest of the family go. Lack of interest I guess, but after discovering this talented family I told my wife I actually want to go if I can see these guys. Amazing talent, those girls sing like angels! And it's just as enjoyable watching them sing as hearing them to boot. Modest smiles and dress, not a tattoo or nose piercing in sight, Refreshing! Don't change a thing guys.
The young lady playing the violin has the most beautiful smile. I love you people you bring light into my life. Much love.
Her name is Katie, and she is the best, and very kind to.
I admire this mother who brought up these children. You folks are awesome.

Good thoughts.

I agree, but I'm sure the dad had some good influence, too.
They are quite a testament to a set of parents who raised them well.

Love these mini concerts. They are uplifting and move the soul. Great work
This is real music from some very talented young people. Thank you.......Love all the acoustic instruments.
Okay. Is it possible to watch one of these and not feel more joyful? There is so much pure beauty, life and light being expressed. It's just so fun!
Eu também gosto muito dessa família. Eu assisto todos os vídeos aqui no estado do Mato Grosso.
Very kind of you, Carlos! Greetings from Vila Velha -ES Brazil.
Só dá brasuca aqui.Kkkk
As meninas são lindas !!!
Sou de Minas Gerais e Também Aprecio Bastante eles. ^-^
Prayers to Japan and its dear people!
(ありがとうございます)
How in the world am I just finding The Petersens!? 300K subscribers isn't nearly enough. This is true talent and the American family at its finest; what a blessing to watch and listen to!
Emmett is rocking on the dobro. And Your version of Blue is the best!
The only problem with this video is that it ends. I could listen to you all afternoon! You’re incredible, congratulations.
They now have 5 solid UA-cam concerts loaded on here...Yahhh! Can't decide which is my favorite.
Thank you so much for sharing your heart, faith and gifts of GOD. My wife and I are so blessed to be able to partake of GOD's grace as provided by you all.
May HE continue to fulfill all your dreams and meet your needs. Julianne...your voice is so angelic...thank you!
Amazing singing/playing/harmonies..thanks for sharing!!!..(From a fellow singer/acoustic player)..
I live in Tijuana, Mexico I found this group some months ago lisening contry songs, and instantly found the best band I ever heard in the world, I loved all the songs of the live Concert. By the way here in México is really strange that somebody knows this kind of music.
so beautiful and peaceful songs and lyrics, I loved this band
Recomended for lisening at the start of the morning, while watching the sun rising behind the mountains👍🌄
Man! This is STRONG... I'm broken by this beautiful performance!!!
Beautiful stuff, God Bless.
the youngest one has just most angelic voice i have heard. Fields of gold just suits her right. She should sing more songs for The Petersens!
I love the Petersens singing! My favorite song in Shenandoah and Katie voice is just perfect for that song.
I'm without the words to describe my feelings listening to this. WOW.
The song is over 100 years old and their mom wrote it! This is a heart-warming bunch! LOL
Would like the explanation of that statement also. :)
At 13:38, when Julienne played a solo she tried to tip-toe to make it stand out a little bit more. These wonderful musicians definitely listen to one another & are aware of the sound around them.
See Oh Shenandoah on Wikipedia. Their mum was probably a fur trader along the Missouri River.
@@adorapiano3325 I think she was trying to get the mandolin closer to the mic. She plays well, but very softly.
Lol that was really funny Matt!
Now I get it....
I don't think mum appreciated it!
@Penultimate Hortator Pretty sure he said exactly what he meant to say.... 😁😁😁
She looks good for her age
My God those first 2 songs are like angels singing. Awesome so relaxing.
Incredible. Love it. Blue one of my favourite songs, and a great version of it. Fields of gold was amazing, never heard it before. A few years to late, but you did great.
It's never too late to discover the beautiful music of The Petersens.
my new favourite band, my brother who lives in Normandie, France, told me about you guys...I live in London....I was listening to Bob Dylan's new album for two days and now I'm listening to this beautiful family with loads of talent and grace and charm and honesty and niceness beyond belief. So beautiful too, but the most beautiful of all is the Stand Up Bass player.
so true Brother. I hit a link, Country Roads, and was hooked immediately. They are all so darn cute and good, but that fiddle player, Lord have mercy, she is something else.
you got that right Mr Flipping Dixy Photos
yeah, they are pretty awesome and refreshing, and yes the fiddle player is adorable
They have a new album coming out of their UA-cam videos, I think. Maybe they'll do a tour of France and England some day?
I am French and I just discovered your music and song that I listen to every day. You are a family that I love very much, you always have a smile and transmit good humor.
Thanks for what you are and keep going. I love you.
Bonjour from Grand Prairie, Texas! 😍
Same here ;)
Algo similar me ha pasado a mí: les he descubierto hace pocas semanas y todos los días, antes de dormir, escucho un ratito a los Petersens. Son fantásticos.
@@adorapiano3325 .. I've been to Grand Prairie! Do they still have Trader's Village?
Y’all are are my new favorite music group! Your music stays in my thoughts through the day wherever I go.
How can anyone possibly dislike this? I don't get it.
Because they have no soul Gaz
For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
p.s. I honestly wasn't thinking dark but that is not conveyed well in my org comment
when he said "she got married in january, so she's already beating the expectations of a banjo player" without cracking a smile. i died!! lol that was low key my favorite part of this as a banjo player
Beautiful picture of a fantastically talented family & 3 sisters hamonizing with mom on bass & 2 brothers guitars ... FANTASTIC TALENT !
I believe I will be a servant of the Lord. Says it all about this Family. Praise God!
I'm an Englishman. I love you guys. Love from Yorkshire.
If only the whole world was like this
It would be very boring, Safe, but boring.
@@shurshot2764 not for me, i sing and play guitar
Def not boring. It would be innocent and pure.
