- A short story that begins when, after a long search, I bought my first Unimog, it includes the entire restoration phase in a specialized workshop and arrival at home once the vehicle has been completely restored and prepared for forestry and extreme off-road use.
Breve storia che inizia quando dopo una lunga ricerca ho acquistato il mio primo Unimog, comprende tutta la fase di restauro in officina specializzata e l' arrivo a casa una volta concluso il ripristino totale del veicolo e la sua preparazione per l' utilizzo forestale e l' off-road estremo.

Questo canale merita molte più visualizzazioni, grazie ai vostri video mi sono innamorato di questi mezzi, che in sardegna non sono molto presenti ( i vari bremach gr sono molto più utilizzati) sono cresciuto nell'officina di famiglia dove facciamo prevalentemente fuoristrada ma ormai il tempo per un 406 è arrivato, grazie di tutto ragazzi, davvero!

I have another question for you. My control levers between the seats aren't the same as yours. My gear selector seems to go straight down into the transmission and I have a lever that sits in front of all of them that you don't appear to have. I haven't figured out what it does or how to operate it yet. Do you know if that is for the working/crawler gears?
Hello, my gear come from a U404, so I think It could be a little different from the original U401, the lever in front of all should be a super crawler gear, very very short gear, which is used with equipment such as the snow blower that has to advance very slowly.

Sorry, I understood "How do you use your Unimog ?", not "How do you use the crawler lever ?". There is no crawler lever on my Unimog.

La scelta di un veicolo molto specializzato usato non può essere azzardata da uno sprovveduto. Ci vuole un esperto di buona fede che non basta, tuttavia, ad escludere grossi rischi. L'aspetto esteriore è l'argomento meno importante. Inutile lavorare su un telaio pasticciato
Avrei un 406 da far sistemare per tutta la parte meccanica. Come si chiama l'officina? Vorrei contattarla per fare due chiacchiere e farmi fare un preventivo. Grazie
