@@thecharliegeorge2151 Similar basic principles, difference is they don't have a Declan Rice. Rodri is amazing but he can't cover ground and snuff out counter attacks like Rice can.
If the keeper has to save a shot, that means his teammates have failed their defensive duties.

Defending high up the pitch and breaking opponent's play quickly, boxing in opponents, subtle but firm defending even by attackers - an aspect of Arsenal's game that's easily taken for granted. Thanks for this great video - Subbed!

Newcastle vs arsenal first half was probably the most dominant match I have ever watched live. It was actually crazy how completely shut down Newcastle were.
Agreed 100%. Total and utter dominance, they could get past the half line.
This is something I've noticed dominant teams have done since Liverpool's 1970s-80s, Nottingham Forrest under Brian Clough and Peter Taylor, AC Millan 1990s, and Barcelona 2000s. It could take years to learn and become second nature since players come in with habits good and bad.

Sometimes it’s not always about tactics, it’s about desire and effort. These players are willing to put in the work which is why they are so effective in stoping counter attacks

Put together the some teachings of gegenpressing, some elements of possession-based attacking football and exercise some physical dominance at set pieces, you get this season's Arsenal.
Throw in the humility of our coach - the willingness to sit deep and counter like a lower league side, it's no wonder our head-to-head with rival Top 6 is the best. No need for stubbornness to play "pretty football".
It's a shame that some of our performances were marred by individual errors and lack of clinical finishing, else we might have more of a shout for the title now.
Mikel combining the Moyes, Guardiola and Wenger's playing styles in both attacking and defending while also knowing when to encompass that Klopp's gegen-pressing is the reason Arsenal is going to dominate the league in the near future if he stays.
Can't wait to see the monstrous team he'll unleash in 24/25.
Next season arsenal will be some team they might just be the hardest ever team to beat because the defence to attack and attack to defence is already immaculate. What the hell are we about to see when these players and this manager are a year smarter and a year stronger goodness gracious

they all do it, saka, kai, its part of what arteta calls his "non negotiables" just cos you score or assist regularly in the front line, doesn't mean you don't track back and support the defense with every loss of possession for this arsenal side..

He is right, man. I only saw this video, and I like your analysis, but sometimes I can't be bothered to read all the text. Much better if you spoke and if you don't want to use your voice. You can use text to speech software that you can download online for free. I think one is called Microsoft Sam, but it's obviously better if you use your own voice.

If Havertz was deployed at his current position since beginning of the season, we would have won the league already.
Those loses against Villa & Fulham were hard to swallow, not to mention being cheated against Newcastle.
You don't know that. Pretty clear Havertz came in with no confidence at all, & took a while to learn the Arsenal system. It's easy to say things like that, or if Partey was fit the whole season, if Timber didn't get injured etc. but hindsight is 20/20. Just win the last 2 games, & hope for a spursy miracle, all we can do.
In other word.. always Chase the ball
