Nick Nordstrom in a lot of cases you’re right, but this band is better with the screaming imo
I have all their music and I recall some songs not having any screaming in them. The whole idea that screaming = emotion is kinda dumb. My gripe with volume 1 was it felt emotionless but it wasn’t because of the non screaming it was because of the way he sang the first song. It didn’t feel alive. This feels very much alive. Compare to Modern Love Affair it feels very emotionally damaging and that’s where it should be listening to the lyrics. I agree some screams would be great but for this song in particular the tone of the song included, it just wouldn’t work.
