That thing sounds Super smooth! Love my 2008 GL1800! You are right....700 miles a day....No problem! Lot of those older Wings are still heavily sought after! Great Vid.

Right now I'm on my 1980 cb750c. Next is the Shadow Phantom and last is the Goldwing to travel US13 North and South to NC! Love those Goldwings!

I had a 1976 Goldwing that had 5200 miles on it. Man that was one nice bike.
I did 110 mph on the road from Wichits to Denver. The Goldwing loved the road.

I've been working on 88' GW, an now have it road ready. I was noticing how smooth this motor is with 96,662 miles on clock. So, I took quarter from pocket an laid it on engine case, it was so steady, I turned coin on its side edge, an I got coin to balance on its edge on a running motor with almost 100,000 miles, now that amazed me! So, I got out a nickel an could balance a nickel on its edge, amazing an it's 30 yr old technology!

Honda Goldwing is by far the greatest most comfortable motorcycle ever built I've had a Goldwing in 1975 since then I had three other motorcycles and guess what I'm writing today that's right I'm back on another Goldwing. There is no finer motorcycle

I agree with you 100%. They are the greatest motorcycles ever built as far as I'm concerned. On the 1976 gl1000. And I've owned a 1982 GL 1100. I have owned the 1997 GL.1500. I currently Ride a. 2000 Honda Valkyrie touring model one of the most dependable most forgiving motorcycles ever built. And I have owned Yamaha Kawasaki and Suzuki.

I own a BMW K1200LT. In traffic the machine is a nightmare but it's great on the open road.

Im picking up a 1999 next week. The fake wood and extra high windshield must've not been popular, because the 1999 Im getting has neither. Pristine unit, garaged and maintained for $3250 with 75000 miles. I am going to feel like a thief.

Reverse works with black magic and voooodoooooo :) You just put the bike in neutral, pull the reverse lever, and hit the starter....

yes 1500 in 6 cylinder horizontal 'boxer' style engine. Like a BMW. Originally a 1200 in 4 cylinders. The 1500 is basically the same engine in one of their cars.
