I'm going through radiation for breast cancer. I have noticed the vcenter has a basket with a couple of hats for those that are going through both chemo and radiation. These would be perfect.
If there is an address I could send some hats to, I’d love to help out with some. My email address is hookedcreations123@gmail.com. My thoughts are with you my friend. Sending yarnie hugs to you!
Thank you Juan for an easy hat, just wanted to let everyone know that you can also use Bobby pins for stitch markers they are a lot less expensive for people who are just starting the art of crochet.
Thank you! I am a new subscriber. I will definitely use this video to make a hat for myself, and for charity. Corporal works of mercy, like clothing the naked, make the world a better place! I am thankful for “all the things” I learned from watching you.
Hi Juan I just found this hat must have missed it it's fantastic love it I make for a children's Cancer ward here in Ireland mostly blankets but I will make these now too.thanks so much for sharing I love your channel you bring me so much joy.many blessings.🍀🍀🍀
WOW! What a beautiful hat and easy pattern to follow! You are an amazing teacher! Thank you for inspiring all your subscribers to have fun creating with yarn!
I've made hundreds of these #crochetribbedbeanie, for a better edge, I've always gone 👉🏻 through both stitches at the end of the flip part of the beanie.👈🏻 It gives it a smoother/cleaner look when the brim is flipped upward. I have crochet this beanie using two colors, too. It's one of the first items I learned to crochet ...🫶🏻💋🫶🏻 #love
Juan thank you so much for this tutorial now I can make these hats and give some out in sets of that and scarf or cowls for gifts next Christmas 2024 Thank you so much
I was thinking the same and that will help deplete my yarn stash. ♥️🧶♥️. My son and daughter in law ask when are you going to find someone and I tell them I’m in a relationship…….. With Yarn!!!♥️🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
Hi Juan. I just love all your tutorials. They are explained with such detail and are so easy to follow. And you are always so encouraging along the way. Thank you for all you do.😊
It's Just a Hat is such a great no frills hat. I made one in a 3 weight, measured approx 19 inches across and it turned out great. Used a J hook for a lightweight feel but next time will prbly size down to a 5.5 with a 19 inch measurement in mind. It's Just a Hat. great name. Thanks
Hi Juan I love this pattern. I don't even make a lot of hats I will be making this one. Yes those are the cutest scissors. Wait wait what happened to your just a series 🤔Thank you Juany 🫂💜🙏🏽
Hari OM I have done so may like this - they are a great 'no brainer' to keep the hands busy while binge-watching or listening! As mentioned, they are ideal for give aways/donations, too. YAM xx
I’m Watching Late But Here I’m And Loving What You Are Doing You Are Sooo Amazing Hello To You And Your Mom Thanks You So Much For Sharing Your Love And Talent With All Of Us May God Bless You Really Big It’s So Beautiful And You Crochet’s So Beautifully ⭐️♥️🌺🌹🦋😍
I have been using your basic pattern for charity hat elementary school yarn bombing. The only difference is that I chain 45 and slip stitch the hat ends. Very joyful project. Donated over 200 hats in 2023
Thank you for “Just a Hat. “. This is a super great and fast pattern for a charity hat. It’s easily adjusted in row lengths for child, youth adult, adult S-M-L-XL. I usually give a matching scarf and the stitch is perfectly suitable with a longer starting chain. I only recently discovered you after a mention on Bag-O-Day and I am enjoying your channel.
Thank you so much for this easy pattern! I'm doing this with a bulkier weight and it still is coming out perfect. I just wanted to say that every other tutorial I've come across, does the last five stitches as slip stitches and it is so hard for me that eventually I give up on the hat. The fact that you use a single crochet in those last five stitches DOES NOT give me headache and the hat still turned out AMAZING! Thank you so much !! I can finally make my first hat 😂
I love making hats from rectangles! My family prefers being able to fold up the brims so I usually make them this way, or bottom up for that reason. It's a little time consuming but I love making double thick slip stitch brim for added warmth. 💜
Today I made your “It’s Just A Hat” hat in Royal Blue! It was my first hat. I love it. I’m so happy. I feel like a gamer who just unlocked “hats.” Thank you!
Hi Juan: You are such an amazing person thank you so very very much for your quick response I really do appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. You are a very kind soul and I do enjoy your videos especially the one with you and your mom. I wish my mom was still here with me. Keep up the good work and thanks again.
Good afternoon Juan and mum cold Tassie and I make couple for little grandchildren. Love it. Oh how mystery boxes going. I did send msg saying interested in $100 box. Take care, keep creating your beautiful creations ❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👏🙏
I love that just a hat! Got too excited and posted before I was done! So I just watched your live last night I think and fell in love with this hat! So glad there’s a tutorial! 💗🧶
I love Loops & Threads Soft Classics! Such a gorgeous yarn. 😍 I've tried patterns similar to yours, but I think I'll be sticking to yours as you've simplified a few things for me. I'll be adding this pattern to my list of hats to make for folks I bump into in the oncology department while finishing up my treatments. Thanks so much, Juan! 💗
Thank you Juan. I've been looking for an easy hat pattern. You do a good tutorial. Thank you . I made my first one out of a med. Gray and it turned out so good.im 74 and still learning. I love my hat, thanks to 6ou.🎉 I
thanks, Juan, for the easy peesey hat tutorial. My mom was a south paw like you but started out knitting and much later crochet. I never had interest as I sewed, cross stitched, and scrapbooked. My youngest grandson was due in 2016 and my mom passed that year, 2 days after Mother's Day, I was too late to learn from her, but I know she would be my biggest you tube fan. I learned from crystal like so many others have. we can now add you as our additional teacher. God bless.
so true Crystal And Juan and Mary wow crochet in Melbourne Australia is awesome. I only brrn crocheting for 3 months due to theses' beautiful People sharing their knowledge and super skills. I never been taught to crochet. Knitting and mostly sewing was in our poor family. I 63yrs old in February and enjoying my craft. Thankyou everyone's.❤❤❤💥💥💥👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow, thanks!! What a speedy response. And now I know how to make a very cool, but simple-to-make-hat! I feel so empowered. Hats off to you, Juan! 😁 Thank you❤
Just a thought picking up the stitches at the top of the hat on double pointed needles, or on straight needles and a few rows of knit two together would give a smoother top. Might need some figuring out as it would add length to the hat and maybe incorporate a rib stitch so as to keep the stitch pattern. Or could you crochet two stitches together?
I want to let you know how nice it is to be able to follow along with you, I'm also left handed and you make it so easy to understand I want to thank you for everything you do for everyone. You make it fun your a joy keep up the good work my friend. May you be blessed always ❤
Wow, I love this so much. I’ve only ever loomed hats and they really look like this one that you just did. I’m going to try this. I’m excited to do it as a Crochet project. Thank you so much. Love it.
Cool tutorial! I like the lady who says she can make the hats for her cancer center. I been crocheting more types of different items. This would be perfect to add mittens to. I was wondering what kind of crochet hook you used?
I just made 2 love them and I am make them for the cancer center and homeless can make enough hats for them and we are going to get 8 to 12 more inches of snow I have Breast cancer
I dig it :) Thanks for the attractive and easy pattern, Juan! I've wondered if hats worked this way, (side to side/vertical?), generally increase the elasticity of cotton crochet, to fit nicely around the head and bounce back.
Thank you, again, for a simple hat pattern. I've always loved that hat but thought it was a knitted hat. I can't wait to make hats like this for my family. Q-1: I assume this is adult size. Can you tell me the measurements; from top to bottom, and across the the bottom. Q-2: Do you have a pattern for a child and/or toddler? I could probably measure their heads and try to wing it. But I've never had much luck "winging it" with projects. So if there's a smaller size pattern (stitch and row numbers) that would be a big help. Thanks again!
HI Juan--you won't believe this but I was literallly trying to make this hat this morning -I finished making one of your scarf patterns and had yarn leftover and wanted a hat to match. I couldn't figure out how many stitches to do. Amazing-thank you for reading my mind🙂
