DMC 5 is astounding how well it runs on Deck. The cutscenes look so gorgeous! I think it should be one of the showcase games for the system like DOOM 2016 or DOOM Eternal. Best for showing off what the Deck can do. I've even been able to lower the TDP to 8W and comfortably hold a 40FPS cap which is just INSANE for the level of visuals + battery life. RE Engine is truly something else. Appreciate you running some of the games with frame cap unlocked at the beginning, really cool video
It's capcom. Their games always runs well even low end devices.

I think DMC is a fantastic game series for the steam deck
So sad that Capcom didn't bring Switch version of DMC3 to PC and PS4/Xbox HD Collections. This game rocks with style and weapon switching
What do you mean, DMC3 is on Steam. Is the Switch version any different?
@@Lock2002ful it is. There are 3 major additions to Switch port: 1) style switching for Dante on the go; 2) weapon switching for all FIVE firearms and melee weapons on the go instead of just two; 3) co-op in bloody palace with splitscreen

But I bet the game runs at 60 fps on Switch as well, it’s old enough.
So, it doesn’t really matter if I play it on Steam Deck or Switch.
But for PC only players it sucks.
Do DMC 1&2 have any changes on Switch?
@@Lock2002ful no, DMC1 and 2 are the same versions as before. DMC3 runs at 60 fps on Switch, with the exception of splitscreen sequences in coop, splitscreen is 30 fps

I read some mixed opinions about the trilogy collection on PC, do you recommend emulate those games with PCSX2 or stick with the HD ports on the Steam Deck?
The HD ports look just like simple ports to me, shouldn't be a big difference
@@SantiagoSantiagolooks like untill recently all cutscenes were upside down and you had to replace or decode them in other format. I was surprised that you didn't mention it but looks like it was fixed in a recent proton ge.

Yo hace un año mas o menos vi en los forums de steam que la HD collection no tenia cinematicas por compatibilidad de proton, tuviste algun problema con eso? O ya esta totalmente solucionado?
De mi lado no tuve problemas con las cinemáticas, solo que son de baja calidad (entendible), si en el proton más reciente no aparecen, es cuestión de usar algún ProtonGE, saludos!

I'm having no issues regarding ingame cutscenes, it is the FMV cutscenes that i'm having problems with. They either play for a second or don't play at all. I have tried pretty much all GEProton options. For the HD collection i think i will play them on my Switch, no issues. DMC, DM4 and DM5 play like a dream on the Deck.

DmC is definitely one of the best games in the franchise.
HD collection has issues playing the fmv cutscenes. It plays well but the cutscenes don't play ?
Cutscenes played fine here, try ProtonGE if they don't play
What ProtonGE works best ? I have tried many options but either the fmv cutscenes play for a second or two or i get a colour bar. And i noticed none of the buttons are active with some of the ProtonGE options (GE-Proton8-31) Thanks.

Hi, why does DMC HD collection say unsupported for steam deck on the steam store ?
I guess the cutscenes dont work properly.
The cutscenes used to be upside down. They fixed that and then the cutscene audio had some crackling in it. They may have fixed that now if he isnt mentioning it. Last time i played it on steam deck was 8 months ago so plenty of time for the issue to have been fixed without me noticing.
