The story behind 'Mesarmi Tasting Crete'

MESARMI tasting Crete is a tasting room in Choudetsi in the heart of the viticultural & olive growing area of Peza, just 25 minutes from Heraklion. It was created by Stella Vasilaki who, after completing her studies at the Agricultural University of Athens (Food Science & Technology) and the University of Bordeaux (Oenology), was fascinated by the wine world. After traveling and working in various wine growing regions of the world, she returned to the place where it all began...on Crete.
MESARMI tasting Crete focuses on wine and olive oil tastings of local products made from indigenous varieties. Emphasis is placed on the taste and aroma profile of the products. Different regions and producers are selected in order to emphasize the concept of uniqueness and special 'terroir'.
The advantage of the services offered by MESARMI tasting Crete is the possibility of tailor-made tastings. For small groups, we offer team games which strengthen the cognitive part of the tasting, while entertaining at the same time.
This space accommodates up to 14 people and is ideal for small-scale tastings. Access to MESARMI tasting Crete is very easy as it is located adjacent to the main road.
Not only will the guests of MESARMI tasting Crete find a new awareness of wine; It is more certain that this tasting will open up a new use appreciation for the taste of wine and its magic.

'We have started the shootings for this video in October 2021 and completed them in April 2023, on different stages of the growing season.
