It’s almost shameful how much I’d give to see Fugazi live. Once Covid finally dies off, that would be the greatest thing to get us back into the live show groove.
They still perform, but not publicly. These are the best sources I can find that shed some light: www.loudersound.com/features/the-messthetics-are-the-band-every-fugazi-fan-needs-in-their-life www.culturecreature.com/fugazi-reunion/
Hello.Ed Kuepper 👍 The only version of I WISH YOU WERE HERE by Faint Hopes on youtube. I Bort the Album Serene Machine and came to hear you play at the port hotel Fremantle. Thanks for this work of Art . WA
Love how you've been able to put this together. Love also how you've managed to revisit ideas over the years. The Saints 'Untitled' from Eternally Yours reworked and given life renewed with 'Number 10' (Character Assassination) 'Death To The Howdy Doody Brigade'. One of my faves from that era. Thanks.
thanks Ian, thought you might be interested that both ''Number 10'' and ''Untitled'' both had their start in a song I wrote for the first Saints album also called somewhat confusing ''Untitled'' it was recorded at the time of the first lp but replace on the album by ''No Time''
@@edkuepper4234 Right. Has it appeared anywhere (orig 'Untitled')? 'No Time' of coarse is a great inclusion, though I like the idea of hidden gems as b-sides. Ed, You mentioned a memoir in the 'Live at the bolo set'. Is this something we cam look forward to??
I feel sorry for Guy. Ian just decided to put Fugazi on hiatus and that was that. Guy has said he was so low after that, he wanted Fugazi to keep playing, as did we all.
I don't think that was the reason. They decided to stop in order to priorize other things in life like rising families, as they could not dedicate the time Fugazi needed in order to commit excellence. Thats it. You should not feel sorry for anyone, i'm sure he was not low or whatever...I'm sure they remain friends, love each other.

Probably see Joe, not that I would recognize him in a dark room. In dc everyone is in a band & you see most everyone at shows. None are trying to “make it”. Pretty sure they stopped because they felt it had run it’s course.
@@crypttonite it did run its course. Playing any of subgenre of rock music with that much intensity isn’t something that works very well after one’s late 30s. I’m a musician. As you get older, you just can’t do intense rock as well as you age. You need to play different types of music. It’s just the natural order of things. 🤷♂️
@@ScottMassonna, that’s not it. for me Guy’s performances r a put off, a little histrio. Are age & intensity connected? Don’t think so. Energy & age, maybe a lil, raw energy. Is there any reason why they interviewed Guy when he's fking damn old? Unlike Ian you know, i just want to see more about Guy sharing his knowledge and knowing more about him...
I’m so glad that Guy has managed to keep his hair.
someone in Fugazi has to
And his unibrow.
Really? That’s what you got from this interview? 😆
And his remarksble jawline.

It's not gonna die off, they're gonna keep everything shut down as long as they can.

I feel so fortunate to have seen them back in '94.
You're not alone. I've seen and done it all but Never saw Fugazi.
guy is the coolest person alive
His dancing was relentless!
Guy is up there with Iggy, in terms of energy.

Listening to Rites of Spring was one of the greatest things that ever happened to me

Wow. Just wow...I was just blasting Rites of Spring in my car and then....🎯👊💯
he is so handsome ❤❤❤
Rites of Spring forever!!
Glad this album is still getting love. I talk it up a lot. Blasting "Goodnight Ladies" at top volume usually makes new converts.
DAMN! never knew this gem of an event existed
Thank you.

I am certain that Ian had his reasons and didn’t arbitrarily declare Fugazi on hiatus.

Post-hardcore legend
Is there any reason why they interviewed Guy when he's fking damn old? Unlike Ian you know, i just want to see more about Guy sharing his knowledge and knowing more about him...
he's been on many podcasts lately. There's one around where he shares lots of stories from the Fugazi days.
Blows my mind how much some dudes change in appearance, if i met him and he sad he's Ed Kuepper i'd say BS
Damn, this is too much
two legends in one room speaking to one another, it's mind blowing.
Who is this guy?
Guy Picciotto from Fugazi.
So skinny
Jesus, Guy looks about 20 years past his age. Is he a vegan?
I mean considering he looked like Bruce Campbell when he was a teenager this makes total sense
He looks great. Do you know what people in their late 50’s look like?
Yes he's vegan so is Ian.
Probably looks better than you lmfao
he looks so good to me 💀💕
