I’m most excited about the dataset tbh 😅 I’m tired of the harassment and also getting NSFW stuff popping up. But also the vector tool will be extremely useful for me!
I am most looking forward to the response from haters. My guess is on something like "Using it is morally good if you pirate it because you're stealing from adobe." This concisely gives an excuse to allow the use of AI art and still gives a feeling of moral superiority.
Excellent video as always. Remember how I said Stable diffusion AI was stealing other people's work a few videos back and you agreed with my comment? There, this is the right way to do it. Being able to just copy an artist's style is just wrong, in so many ways. Adobe is doing it right, though it is a behemoth, who just cares about money (subscription based service vs owned software discussion) BUT at least they are taking the first step in the right direction. Keep helping our community with your videos, they are fire!
I tried it - subpar results and quality compared to others but it's a great start - the sketch/image to 3D possibility along with NVIDIAs new thing coming makes me the most interested. I do worry this will (even further) make graphic design jobs obsolete I fear for my future - all I can do is learn it and try to use it and somehow make the case a human will still be needed in design and art work.
Maybe it’s just because I’m also a creator, but I don’t ever see myself using these AI image generators (I refuse to call it “art”) instead of paying a human to design something I need. Call me a snob, but I don’t consider a computer algorithm the same as the brain conceptualizing a design; AI images have the same “feel” as a paint-by-numbers image. There’s something very sterile, rigid, and ‘pattern-like’ to the images I’ve seen generated with these programs, even when mimicking the style of a real artist. I do think at some point NONcreatives will discover that images/designs made with prompts and fed through an algorithm is a “you get what you pay for” scenario and learn the hard way that things like graphic design for advertising, for example, *require* the unique skills and perspective of a human in order to stand out from the crowd and draw customers to whatever they’re selling. You’re right, though; creators using the technology as another tool to get the work done is the best usage case for these image generators. But we both know some exec at a company is just drooling at the thought of being able to use unpaid interns to copy/paste prompts to generate “designs” for a product campaign so they save money on paying a graphic designer or ad agency😂🙄
I just came off 5 year stint of 24/7 caregiver of my folks. Previously I was a Prof of Art & Design which included teaching Adobe Creative Suite. I also had my own graphic design and marketing gig. Now I am recreating myself and my career. Suggestions on where best to focus my learning to be viable as a Creative Director, Designer and Illustrator? I appreciate your insights! 🤟
Still waiting for it to allow you to draw your graphic designs and ai would make it professional using text input and manual classic editing so you don't have to learn Photoshop fully to work, Instead anyone with creative ideas and design can turn basic doodles and beginner skills into professional work with the guidance of ai.
Bringing back the creativity to humanity that was robbed because of the rugged educational system, but I hope people will use it in a good way, and not just following their evil desires, because by then it will just be disastrous and will take humanity to that dark corner and for a loooong time :S
Crazy stuff! Makes total sense to implement AI into their suite. But once this is mature enough ... jeeez. ! I´m scared. I´m excited. I´m excited. I´m scared.
@@MODEST500 That is actually a strike against the Anti AI argument. Watermarks appear on art that is publicly displayed. It is not dipping into premium collections, it is getting these images from public locations. On top of that many of these locations for which they are being published are also compromised. How? Read any terms of service on popular platforms. You will find that just putting them there already removes the artist from the work.
Nothing special just another Stable diffusion variation = control net = depth to mask etc... You can have evrithing for free SD is opensource. Evry big company will have picture genretaive app for free. Adobe is DEAD company. Thei nead to switch from aubscrition to difrent model.

I’ve been playing with it and Firefly does a lot of things write but it’s image generation is not all there yet. I make comics and manga with AI and trying to get a decent anime style in it is currently impossible forget consistency in characters. The quality of normal images are good but in a way, it feels like where Midjourney was at in the beginning.
I use A.I. to have may own quick concept art, I want something to see rather than make my head imagine all possible combinations if I could put my energy making the art by the inspiration from the art from the a.i.
Isn't a I kind of like a companion app right now, Yes it could do the job but I still need someone to tell it what to do and describe what we want. Until I can rapidly understand the new answers We will be living in a new world but until then it's just a companion app that makes everything better faster stronger
AI is clearly the future, and for the better. I get it that actual skilled artists feel cheated, but it's not the end of the world as long as you adapt and incorporate it into your own workflow.
Creatives who don't see the insane power of this tech, in my opinion, aren't that creative. While in the architectural industry these days, I did graphic design for 12 years. If this tool was around back then It would have felt like a dream. For me, starting projects and designing themes was easily one of the hardest things to be decisive on. Artists can get inspired easily within a day, pointing them in a direction forward, allowing to finish projects faster. Some of the most creative people I know are blown away like I am and love to see ideas executed in a style I would have never imagined.
I hate to agree, but I do. Hey I still love pen on paper, and the like, and that will never change, I’m an artist, it’s what I do and love. But I am also a retired digital effects artist, (if that’s something you really ever retire from), being a digital artist isn’t so natural a thing. So to me, someone who loves both mediums, I see AI as a great tool for inspirational ideas I may not venture toward otherwise, for I can quickly get in front of me some form of my vision as well as other versions of that vision, before spending hours or even weeks pondering on it or fiddling around with a technique, style, composition, color, mood, what have you. At least that’s what I do in my personal work many times. I can and still do those things as I desire to, but I can also now quickly get other ideas too, and implemented quite well if the prompts are done with any kind of artistic knowledge. I personally think it will make traditional artist’s work more valuable, maybe not while their alive, but later, then again hasn’t that pretty much always been the case with most artist anyways. One thing is for sure, it’s not going to go away, so better to learn to live with it and if possible benefit from it I would think. After all isn’t that what technology is for, our benefit? But there lies the real problem, I do think technology is for our benefit, but not sure that’s how it will end, for as I see it now it is really being driven for profit and who’s AI is the best. And with AI the race to be first could end in improper fail safes being in place and could end badly for our beloved internet let alone us all. So you better get ready for the ride, because I believe its coming, I can feel it in my bones. I do hope I’m wrong, but companies are all going hog wild on AI and it’s a bit careless in my opinion how they are going about it. But falling behind and losing profit margins is not acceptable, so they bullishly push forward without a care as to not fall behind. I do think it will bite us all in the, well I’ll play it safe here and say wallet.
@@jcriley7695 Well said, I can't believe the amount of people in the apparently progressive Art world who have been completely freaked out by AI, but had no idea how it works.

That brush feature is cool
I finally see why I got a degree in Digital Multimedia.
Wowzer! will Firefly do text to 3-D?
Nice vid ^^ We are not yet in a hyperrealistic ; photographic ; rendering, it "looks" still too digital. A way to fix it?

You were doing in painting and other effects, I do not see these options.
I wonder if it will be part of the creative suite subscription or standalone paid program.

Soon we will find out who hated AI because of perceived wrong doings, and who's just mad at AI because they feel threatened.
And perceived wrong doing was wrong doing btw . Both arguments have weight . I use midjourney and sometimes water marks do appear .

The way I see it, it's just paying for stable diffusion with nicer ui. I don't know, it doesn't bring anything new apart from the text to vector stuff
