As a pacifist, I completely agree. We need to be highly cautious in our approach, not to praise war mongers or war profiteers but at the same time, I don't think peace is an option here. Ukraine has repeatedly attempted peace talks whilst Russia refuses to cooperate. Giving up your country to the Kremlin isn't really an option, so war it is.
Why not? I think he would have a fighting chance of doing something remarkable. I would hate to see what that job would do to a man as remarkably kind and compassionate as him though. On top of that, Russia will claim they've already done that and wouldn't let a fair vote happen. There is no solution that will make all parties happy, they have conflicting interests, hence the war.
